Abstract
A carrier, of a film forming metal or alloy, pref. of T2 (alloy), is coated with metal oxides or a mixture of oxides with >=1 Pt gp. metal in an amt. of 20-80 wt % and a final outer coating of a film-forming metal oxide. Electrodes are resistant to chemical attack, and have high short circuit resistance when used in flowing Hg cathode cells.
