Abstract

Offset printing plates are produced by coating a steel strip with a layer of Cr and/or CrO onto which a radiation sensitive film is deposited. Pref. the Cr/CrO layer is continuously deposited by electrolysis, plasma projection or vacuum evaporation before cutting the strip into plates.
