Abstract

1331905 Projection screen PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB 24 Feb 1972 8639/72 Heading G2A A projection screen comprises a reflecting foil and a transparent layer laminated thereon, the reflecting foil having a diffusedly reflecting aluminium coating and the transparent layer is facing a projection source being provided with transparent uniformly shaped discrete projections. The reflecting foil may be of aluminium and have a flexible or rigid backing consisting of PVC-coated paper or PVC-coated fabric. The projections may be thermoplastic pyramids, cones or plano convex or concave lenses and their shape is determined by a general formula. The screen may be curved, which curvature may be adjusted, the centre of curvature being at the projecting light source. A linearly polarized light beam may be used for stereo projection purposes.
