réoldant à rMx3.3.e.s UNITE DE DISTRIBUTION D'AIR CHAUD POUR DES MELES
A ACCUMULATION A CIRCULATION FORCEE.
(invention-* Monsieur Raymond GEERINCK)
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

reoldant to rMx3.3.e.s HOT AIR DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR MELES
FOR FORCED TRAFFIC ACCUMULATION.
(invention- * Mr. Raymond GEERINCK)
In known forced circulation storage heaters, the hot air distribution unit generally comprises a supply duct for cold air, a distribution channel for hot air, delimited with respect to the space to be heated by an outlet grille, a heating duct leading from an opening in the supply duct through ducts inside the heat storage core to an opening in the hot air distribution duct and a auxiliary conduit for direct connection between the channel
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
supply and hot air distribution channel. The air is propelled for example by a fan.
The hot air distribution unit is often placed in the base of storage stoves.
The object of the invention is a hot air distribution unit for these forced circulation storage heaters which occupies a very small volume and more particularly a hot air distribution unit having the firmness of a rectangular parallelepiped of very small size. height. Another object of the invention is an arrangement of the elements of the hot air distribution unit, ensuring very high uniformity of the temperature of the hot air leaving the grill on the outlet from the pole.
The invention is characterized by a hot air distribution space in which between the hot air leaving the heating duct and by an intermediate screen constituting the separation between this hot air distribution space and the distribution duct hot air,
The invention is explained below with respect to an exemplary embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing. The drawing is a view, partially in section, of a base of an accumulation stove comprising a hot air distribution unit.
The only figure in the drawing represents a base with an accumulation heater, seen from the rear, upper closing plate 1 raised. On the upper closing plate 1 there is an Insulating mat on which the core rests
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
heat accumulator, not shown. Sheet 1 comprises two openings 2 and 3 and an inclined wing 4, terminated by a flat 5 of small width, also inclined, and visible even after mounting the stove. The sheet 1 rests on a parallelepipedal box formed by a rear wall 6, a side wall 7 and support sheets 8 and 9 arranged in part on the front face.
A fan 10 is arranged on the side opposite to the wall 7 in such a way that it blows air into a cold air supply channel, the front part of which is delimited by a bottom plate 11, the wall 6 , a sheet 8 and the sheet 1. A sensor sheet 12 in the supply channel expels part of the cold air, leaving the fan 10, through the opening 2 of the sheet 1 in the core heat accumulator, not shown.
The other part of the air is expelled in the part of the supply channel having the shape of a prism of trapezotal section and delimited by the wall 6, an upper sheet 13, an inclined sheet 14 and the sheet metal. bottom 11. Between the opening 2 of the supply channel in the sheet 1 and the opening 3, a heating duct exists through channels inside the heat storage core, not shown. The cold air leaves the parallelepiped base through opening 2 and enters heated through opening 3. Entering through opening. ture 3, the air arrives in a hot air distribution space having the shape of a prism of triangular section, delimited on the one hand by the sheet 1 and the sheet 14 and on the other hand by a sheet 15 in which is provided with a wire mesh 16.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
This mesh 16 is sufficiently fine to intercept any incandescent particles which have become detached from the core. The screen 16 is also called the intermediate screen, in order to distinguish it from the well known outlet grid, consisting of plates 17 extending over the entire length of the front face of the pole and capped by the plate 5 attached to the plate. The inclined wing 4 of the sheet 1. The plate 15 comprises a clipped wing primer 18 on which rests the inclined wing 4 of the sheet 1. The intermediate screen 16 extends over almost scrapes the surface of the sheet 15.
The hot air leaves through the intermediate screen 16 into a hot air distribution channel, delimited by the bottom plate 11 on the one hand and the screen 16 on the other hand. The aesthetic demarcation towards the had is made by the outlet grille 17. In order to maintain the good distribution of the air obtained during the passage of the latter through the intermediate screen 16, separation 19 can be placed in the hot air distribution channel.
In the case of partition plates 19 are extended into the cold air supply duct through the opening which connects the cold air supply duct to the hot air distribution duct and which is formed by a thin slit open between two generatrices of the prism constituting the supply channel.
One of the two generatrices is a straight line in the plane of the sheet 11 and the other is formed by the lower edge of the plate 14. In the part of the supply channel formed by the prism of trapezoidal section, the air enters
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
axially along arrow 20 and exits perpendicularly to the axis of the prism, along arrow 21. In the hot air distribution channel, the air enters and leaves perpendicular to the axis of the prism of triangular section delimited by the sheet 11, the intermediate screen 16 and the outlet grid formed by the plates 17. In fact, the air enters on the one hand along the arrow 21 and on the other hand through the screen 16, and it exits through the exit gate 17.
Thanks to the fact that the hot air distribution space has the shape @ a prism of triangular section and that it is arranged between the supply channel and the distribution channel, a base of surprisingly small size is obtained. . Further, despite the extreme shortening of the air paths, the air mixture has excellent temperature uniformity.
In order to improve this temperature uniformity in certain particular cases, means may be provided to uniform the pressure and to cause air mixing in the hot air distribution space. The air circulation is produced in a very simple manner, for example by means of a small jet of cold air 22 of relatively high speed, obtained by omitting to completely close the inlet duct of cold air to the right of the deflector plate 12.
As this opening places the hot air distribution space in communication with a space at higher pressure than that prevailing at the outlet of
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the opening 3, and As this opening is disposed on the side opposite to that where the opening 3 is located, a uniformization of the pressure in the hot air distribution space is also obtained.
