<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Pour mieux comprendre l'invention, on décrira ci- après, à titre d'exemple, et à l'aide du dessin annexé, une forme de réalisation de l'objet de l'invention. Dans ce dessin ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
Lorsque le barreau aimanté 9 est déplace dans le sens de la flèche 13 et que le plan neutre 12 passe audelà de la lame 1, et que l'extrémité 5 de cette dernière se trouve située dans la.zone située à gauche de cc plan, elle s'aimante par influence et présente les caractéristiques d'un pôle nord N, alors que l'autre extrémité 3 de la lame 3 présente un pâle S ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

Device for controlling an electrical circuit
The present invention relates to a device for controlling an electrical circuit.
It is essentially characterized by the fact that this device comprises a contact with magnetic lamellae, preferably enclosed in a protective tube, one of which is polarized and the other of which is subjected to the action of a magnetic field, said device being made in such a way as to allow relative movement between said magnetic field and said other magnetic strip,
Thanks to this realization, the contact closes when the non-polarized strip is located in the part of the magnetic field whose polarity is opposite to that of the polarized strip,
and it opens as soon as the unpolarized lamella is situated in the transverse median plane and remains open as long as the unpolarized lamella is situated in the part of the magnetic field of the same polarity as that of the polarized lamella. As the contact changes from its closed state to its open state suddenly, we have a very precise means of controlling a circuit using this device, the cost price of which is very low: ..
The magnetic field can be created by a helper: permanent, or by using a solenoid, and the polarization da

If we link the permanent magnet or the solenoid creating the magnetic field to an organ whose displacements with respect to the unpolarized lamella according to a given physical law translating for example a cycle of operations, we can conceive that the following device the invention makes it possible to control a circuit having a certain influence on this cycle of operations,
This is the case, for example, when the device according to the invention is associated with a weighing scale whose needle carries a permanent magnet moving in front of polarized magnetic wool contacts as mentioned above.
If this contact controls an electrical circuit of a set

the permanent magnet will be carried by the needle so that its axa'VS is perpendicular to the non-polarized lamella of the contact coacting with said magnet, so that when the neutral transverse plane of the latter passes through the non-polarized lamella no reaction mutual only takes place between the contact and the magnet therefore the needle of the rocker whose position remains only under the influence of the weighed load. More or less automatic devices have already been proposed for controlling the opening and closing of the various helmets, from a fixed control station, but these known devices are both very expensive and inexpensive. assistants. On the other hand, that in accordance with the invention has a low cost price and has the advantage of being able to adapt to an already existing installation.
In order to better understand the invention, an embodiment of the subject of the invention will be described below, by way of example, and with the aid of the appended drawing. In this drawing;
Figures 1 to 3 are schematic views.
FIG. 4 is a front view of a rocker comprising devices according to FIGS. 1 to 3.
Figure 5 is a section of Figure 4 along the line V-V.
FIG. 6 schematically represents the principle adopted in the realization of the detection on a rocker.
Figure 7 is a schematic front view of the latter, and
FIG. 8 is a section through a diametric plane passing through the needle of the lever.
The control device which is the subject of the invention is essentially constituted by a contact with magnetic lamellae 1, 2 whose neighboring ends 3, 4 are superimposed and whose outer ends 5, 6 come out of the protective casing 7 generally made with glass. The magnetic plate 6 carries a permanent magnet 8, the polarities of which are those indicated in the drawing. As the strip 2 is made of a magnetic material, a pole S is established at its end 4.
Opposite the end 5 of the magnetic strip 1 which is not subjected to a permanent polarization as
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the lamella 2, is disposed a permanent magnet 9 whose end 10 represents the north pole, the end 11 the south pole and the mixed line 12 the transverse neutral plane.
It is assumed that from the position shown in Figure 1, the permanent magnet moves in, 3 directions' of arrow 13. As long as the magnetic strip 1 is located to the right of plane 12 of the magnet, it is magnetized by influence under the action of the magnetic field of the magnet and this lamella becomes magnetized as indicated in the figure, that is to say that a south blade S is established at the end 5 anda north pole 11 at the end 3 located opposite the blade S of the end 4 of the blade 2; the contact closes.
When the magnetic bar 9 takes the position shown in FIG. 2, in which the blade 1 is located in the neutral plane 12, the polarization of the blade 1 disappears and the contact opens.
When the magnetic bar 9 is moved in the direction of arrow 13 and the neutral plane 12 passes beyond the blade 1, and the end 5 of the latter is located in the zone to the left of this plane, it becomes magnetized by influence and has the characteristics of a north pole N, while the other end 3 of the blade 3 has a pale S;
as the end 4 of the strip 2 has a south polarity S, the contact remains open until the magnetic bar 9 or another identical bar is located in front of the strip 5, as shown in figure 1, the contact 3, 4 closing immediately and the marls unwinding operations during the displacement of this magnetic beam in the direction of arrow 13.
The instant at which the plate 1 is polarized as described and the closing of the contact 3,4 depend of course on the intensity of the magnetic field of the magnetic bar 9 and on the mechanical and physical characteristics of the magnetic plate 1,
If the bar 9 is linked to a mechanical member moving according to a certain law, one can conceive,
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
that associated with one or more contacts, it can cause opening or closing and control various electrical circuits controlling certain operations.
In the case cited above, as an example, of a scale of an aggregate weighing station in a? concrete preparation installation, the realization is as follows (figures 4 and 5).
The reference 13 designates the housing of the rocker in which the dial 14 is fixed. The needle 15 and the pinion 16, of which it is integral, rotate on the fixed axis 17, The casing 13 is closed by a glass disc 18. or some other non-magnetic material. Near its indicator end the needle 15 carries a transverse magnetic bar 19 equivalent to the bar 9 and whose blades are designated by N, S. At its other end the needle 15 is provided with a counterweight 20.
At the front of the seesaw, we hooked its case 13, by radial arms 21, 22 (Figure 5 is a false section of Figure 4 to allow to see these arms) to a boot 23 carrying a central axis 24 on which are mounted using friction bushings 25, 26, radial arms 27, 28 ...
31, 32 angularly adjustable with respect to each other and with respect to the dial of the rocker, and each radial arm carries, at its free end, a contact with magnetic lamellae 27 ', 28' .... 31 ', 32' , each contact being arranged in an electrical circuit, not shown, controlling such desired device.
When the needle 15 moves in the direction of the arrow F as the quantities of aggregate that its weigh hopper receive, the magnetic bar 19 moves successively in front of the contacts 27 ', 28'. ... 31 ', 32' and controls the closing or opening, depending on the polarization given to the blades 2 of these contacts, and the latter, each of which is assigned to a determined aggregate, control the opening and closing circuits. closing of the helmets of the various sectors of the storage wall, as discussed above.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
According to a loan realization, apply '.. the control of the helmets and when the needle 15 is opiate in the direction of the arrow F and the polarities of the magnet 19 are:
those of figure 4, we will adopt for the lamellae 2 (all the cantacts 27 '... 32' the polarization shown in figure 1, each time the needle 19 passes in front of a contact 27 '... 32' it will form and, 'will open, as described with figures 1 to 3, and preferably the closing of the contact (figure 2) will correspond to the preparation of the associated helmet, the opening (fig. 2) will correspond to the closing of the helmet associated with the contact considered and with the opening of the next helmet, and the open position, according to FIG. 3, with the full opening of said next helmet.
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram of an improved variant, showing a permanent magnet 41 assumed to be fixed in the space and a lamella contact enclosed in a protection tube 42. The lamellae are designated by the references 43 and 44. , the latter being plarized with the aid of a permanent magnet 45 so that the end 46 of this lamella has a polarity which is the reverse of that of rensontrot.
first the contact or switch 42 when it moves in the direction of the arrow 47. On the other hand, and it is an essential characteristic of the present invention, the force of the polarization magnet 45 is such that it is insufficient to it alone causes the contact to close at 45-46 '. but sufficient to maintain this contact in its closed position after the closing has been caused by the field of the magnet 41.
More explicitly, the phenomenon is as follows:
It is assumed that the switch 42 is initially in the position A in which it is far enough from the N pole of the permanent magnet 41 (for which the solid lines represent the lines of force of the magnetic field and the interrupted lines the equipotential lines much denser in the area close to the neutral plane indicated in mixed chalk) so that
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
this last has no influence on the switch 42.
this is open and the polarity of the ends of the blades 43 and 44 are those indicated in the figure, The contact is open between 46 and 46 'because the force of the polarization magnet 45 is not sufficient to overcome the resistance mechanics of milk and that represented by the gap 46-46 '.
When switch 42 moves in the direction of arrow 47 and arrives at a point in the magnetic field of sufficient strength, the contact closes at 46-46 '. It is assumed that this closing takes place in position A ', If for one reason or another the closed switch 42 escapes the action of the magnetic field of the magnet 41, the contact remains closed on 46-46', by the appropriate choice of bias magnet 45, as indicated above.
The contact remains closed even when the switch passes to B to the right of the neutral line of magnet 41, and it opens in position C, shortly after passing this neutral line and in the area of the blade opposite to the magnet in which the equipotential lines are very dense.
This realization has the following advantages:
1 - During its trajectory in front of the magnet 41, which is fixed, the switch has two particular positions, one of which corresponds to its closing at A 'and the other, quite precisely, to its opening at vs.
2 - Due to the choice of the polarization magnet 45, the contact closure is maintained, even if the switch escapes, for some fortuitous reason, the action of the field of the magnet 41.
3 - The opening is made in the zone of high density of the equipotential lines, which makes it possible to obtain the opening with great precision.
All these advantages are particularly important when such a switch is used in combination with a rocker controlling the successive steps of different materials.

action of pole N of magnet 58, switch 52 will be closed and will test it until the switch passes into zone S of magnet 58 which will cause switch 52 to open as described with figure 1, shortly after passing through the neutral line of this magnet. The opening of the switch orders the interruption of the discharge of the first

material and the beginning to spill the aecord .tztâ.ae.
This causes it to move from the needle 52 in the 111800 direction that precadenament towards the magnet 59. When the contact 52 will have reached a certain position with respect to the p81c s of the aaitnaat 59, it will close, causing the fcrmetura of the contact and the reduction of the dàva "aeent of the second Macariau, The reopening of the contact 52 will take place beforehand, shortly after the neutral line of the magnet 59 and will cause the stop of the flow (at the weight of 200 kg) .
The hopper is then emptied, and the needle moving in the opposite direction returns to position 0, the magnet 62 having the effect of opening the switch to allow the accomplishment of a new weighing cycle. .
More generally, it can be said that the arrangement adopted of a polarized contact 52 as indicated above, fixed on a needle or an index and moving in front of the magnets distributed along a measuring scale, allows to have, each passage of the needle in front of a magnet of the scale, two orders which can be used to carry out various checks, with great precision. This can
