Description
<EMI ID=1.1> <EMI ID=2.1> siloxanes obtenus par hydrolyse ou cohydrolyse de ces silanés sont abondamment cités dans la littérature et sont main, tenant bien connus dans l'industrie. Les groupes organiques présents dans ces silanes et siloxanes comprennent des radicaux hydrocarbures monovalents'tels. que alcoyle, aryle, alcoylaryle et aralcoyle et certains radicaux hydrocarbures halogènes monovalents tels que chlorométhyle et chloro- ou bromo-phényle. Comme on le sait, ces silanes, isolément ou en mélanges, sont hydrolyses ou cohydrolysés de manière à préparer une grande variété d'organopolysiloxanes comprenant des fluides de faible viscosité et de forte viscosité, des composés élastomères et des résines extrêmement dures. Ces matières possèdent une réputation bien méritée due à leurs propriétés remarquables de résistance à la chaleur, hydrofuges, d'isolement de l'électricité, etc. Toutefois, un gros inconvénient de tous les organopolysiloxanes connus jusqu'ici est le degré indésirable auquel ils se ramollissent, se dissolvent, gonflent ou perdent de quelque autre manière leurs propriétés physiques intéressantes quand on les met en contact avec des solvants organiques comme le benzène, le toluène, le xylène, les hydrocarbures du pétrole, etc. La présente invention se propose de fournir des organo-chloro-silanes nouveaux qui, par hydrolyse, donnent des organosiloxanes possédant une meilleure résistance aux changements physiques par exposition aux solvants organiques et possédant d'autres propriétés améliorées et désirables comme la résistance à l' inflammation. Il a été découvert que les 1.1.1-trifluoropropylchlorosilanes donnent par hydrolyse ou cohydrolyse des trifluoropropyl-organosiloxanes correspondants, possédant un degré surprenant de résistance au changement de propriétés physiques par exposition aux solvants organiques. Ainsi, l'invention se rapporte à des chlorosilanes de formule <EMI ID=3.1> de 1 à 3 inclus, et aux polymères et copolymères d'organosiloxanes que l'on peut préparer à l'aide de ces composés. On peut préparer les chlordsilanes selon l'invention par réaction du réactif de Grignard du l.l.l-trifluoro-3bromopropane avec SiCI�. On peut préparer le trifluorobromopropane lui-même par réaction du 1.1.1-trifluoropropane avec le brome à une température d'environ 500[deg.]Ce Cette dernière réaction peut être effectuée en faisant passer un mélange des vapeurs des deux réactifs dans un tube chaud à la température voulue et en condensant et distillant le produit .de réaction ainsi obtenu. Le réactif de Grignard utilisé dans l'invention se prépare facilement à la température ambiante ou une température plus élevée en introduisant le trifluorobromo-propane dans une suspension de magnésium dans l'éther diéthylique; on peut lui attribuer la formule <EMI ID=4.1> Le réactif de Grignard ci-dessus décrit peut être ajouté au tétrachlorure de silicium en présence ou en l'absence de diluants inertes. Cette réaction de copulation est exothermique et donne généralement au moins une certaine quantité de chacun des organo-silanes correspondants possibles. Toutefois, le produit principal obtenu peut être déterminé dans une grande mesure en utilisant les proportions <EMI ID=5.1> particulier, il serait également préférable d'ajouter le réactif de Grignard au tétrachlorure de silicium de manière qu'il y ait toujours un excès de celui-ci dans la masse réac tionnelle. Quand on désire obtenir comme produit principal <EMI ID=6.1> d'utiliser environ 2 mols de réactif de Grignard par mol de <EMI ID=7.1> 3/1. Quand on désire obtenir les composés diorgano- ou triorgano-substitués, il est parfois avantageux d'inverser <EMI ID=8.1> de Grignard de manière que celui-ci soit présent en excès. Il doit toutefois être entendu que, quels que soient les rapports molaires ou l'ordre d'addition utilisée la réaction produit au moins une certaine quantité de chacun des composés de l'invention, le produit de la réaction devant être distillé si on désire en isoler les espèces chimiques. Les chlorosilanes selon l'invention peuvent être hydrolysés isolément ou en mélange quelconque par les techniques courantes d'hydrolyse applicables aux chlorosilanes. On peut, si on le veut, utiliser des solvants inertes au cours de l'hydrolyse. Comme à l'habitude, l'usage d'un catalyseur alcalin tel que NaOH ou KOH ou d'un catalyseur acide <EMI ID=9.1> condensation de l'hydrolysat contenant =SiCH. L'intérêt principal des chlorosilanes selon l'invention est leur application comme intermédiaires dans la préparation des organosiloxanes contenant des motifs de formu- <EMI ID=10.1> 2 ci-dessus décrite. Ces siloxanes paument prendre la forme de fluides, de caoutchoucs ou de résines applicables'aux usages connus des produits de silicone, mais qui sont -supé- <EMI ID=11.1> et aux solvants. Quand on utilise un mélange de silanes pour l'hydrolyse -en copolymère correspondant, il peut consister en espèces chimiques pures isolées ou en espèces non- <EMI ID=12.1> <EMI ID=13.1> duit le caractère hydrofuge et-les propriétés diélectriques améliorées désirés dans l'objet traité. L'exemple suivant illustre l'invention mais n'est pas limitatif. Exemple On prépare le réactif de Grignard du 1.1.1-trifluoro- <EMI ID=14.1> molaire de fragments de magnésium mis en suspension par <EMI ID=15.1> deux fois le volume du susdit propane. On introduit le réactif de Grignard ainsi obtenu dans une quantité équimolaire <EMI ID=16.1> réaction de copulation commence immédiatement à la température ambiante, comme le montre la formation d'un précipité blanc floculé. On poursuit l'addition pendant deux heures en agitant de manière continue et refroidissant à l'occasion le ballon de réaction. L'addition terminée, on agite la masse réactionnelle pendant encore deux heures, puis on filtre et on soumet le filtrat à la distillation fraction-- <EMI ID=17.1> atmosphérique. Cette fraction possède une Densité (35/4) de <EMI ID=18.1> réfraction spécifique observée de 10,1662 obtenue à partir de ces valeurs est en excellent accord avec la valeur thé- <EMI ID=19.1> <EMI ID=20.1> ron 180[deg.]C. Cette fraction possède une densité (3?A) de <EMI ID=21.1> réfraction spécifique obtenue à partir de ces valeurs indique que la fraction pourrait contenir une petite quantité du produit mono-substitué à titre d'impureté. La fraction de point d'ébullition le plus élevé dont la gamme d'ébulli- <EMI ID=22.1> <EMI ID=23.1> Ce dernier composé figure également dans le résidu de la distillation. <EMI ID=24.1> l'ajoutant à un excès d'eau, ce qui donne un produit résineux solide thermoplastique contenant des motifs de siloxane <EMI ID=25.1> séparé du silicium quand on met en contact ces siloxanes avec une solution aqueuse chaude à 10 % de KOH. <EMI ID=26.1>
