<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The present invention relates to a gyratory crusher, the crusher cone of which is mounted in an eccentric slider by means of a shaft.
A gyratory crusher is already known, the shaft of which is fixed in a crusher cone and mounted in an eccentric slider. The shaft is fixed in the crusher cone by means of a conical clamping ring, which is guided on the threaded shaft and is locked by two nuts in a conical seat of the crusher cone.
This screwed joint is covered, towards the hawt, by a plate which at the same time forms the point of the cone. The plate is connected to the shaft by a central screw, the head of the screw being embedded in the plate.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
It has the disadvantage that the head of the screw, as well as the edges around the countersink, are damaged by the stones which mount on it, and that they thus lose their initial shape.
> rswhen the crusher cone has to be dismantled, the barrel wrench adjusts more and it becomes complicated to undo the screw.
The object of the invention is to provide a protective plate for the screw joint, which avoids these drawbacks.
In accordance with the invention, this problem is solved by placing on the top of the main screw a protective plate tsse provided, on its underside, with a cylindrical peg having a groove intended to receive an elastic ring, the from the main screw comprising a cylindrical hole whose diameter e corresponds to the diameter of the ankle and which, at the bottom, 'flares conically in a cavity, so that the elastic ring' engages in the flared part when the ankle is pushed into a hole, which fixes the skid plate.
This construction offers the advantage of being insensitive to the knocks of the stones, and of being easy to undo.
The drawing shows by way of example one embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 shows a gyratory crusher in median longitudinal section, and
Figure 2 is a fragmentary section, on a larger scale.
. The gyratory crusher of figure 1 consists essentially of a lower frame part 5 and two upper frame parts 1 and 4, as well as a crusher cone 3, mounted in the lower frame part 5, in an eccentric slider 9. The crusher cone 3 is provided on the outside with a working lining 6 made of an extremely wear-resistant material, eg hard manganese steel. The upper frame part has on its inner face a working covering 2 of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
same quality.
The crusher cone is fixed on a shaft 8, the geometrical axis a of which is inclined at an angle of a few degrees with respect to the geometrical axis b of the frame of the crusher. The shaft 8 is held in bearings 15, 16 in an eccentric clamp 9.
The eccentric slider is provided with an upper collar 11, the upper face 13 of which and the lower face 12 form sliding bearing faces. The crusher cone 3 slides on the face 13, and the eccentric slider slides through its face 12 on a hub of the frame. In addition, the eccentric slider is held in this hub by two collar bearings 14, 17.
The shaft is fixed in the crusher cone by a main screw 26. The latter consists of a cylindrical lower part, provided with a right-hand thread 33 and an upper flange 34.
The lower part, threaded on the right, is fixed in a corresponding thread 35 of the shaft 8, and the flange 34 fits in a recess 36 of the working lining 6 of the crusher cone 3.
Two holes 37 are provided in the surface of the main screw, for the introduction of a tightening key, with which the main screw is tightened so as to lock it on the crusher cone.
The main screw is hollow and has in the center of its upper part a cylindrical hole 38 which further flares out in a cone -forming a cavity 39.
To prevent the holes of the main screw 26 from getting dirty and above all also to prevent the edges of the cylindrical hole 38 and the key holes 37 from being damaged by the impact of stones, a protective plate 25 is provided on the main screw 26. This plate fits into the cylindrical hole 38 of the main screw 26, by a dowel 28 provided on its lower face. A groove 29 is made around the circumference of the ankle,
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the distance between the underside of the protection plate and the groove corresponding to the length of the cylindrical hole 38.
An elastic ring 27 provided in the groove 29, completely fits there when one. insert the ankle in the hole 38; on arriving in the flared part of the hole 38, the ring protrudes therein while remaining partially engaged in the groove. This ensures that the cover plate is firmly attached to the screw. Further, the inclination of the flared part of the hole is chosen such that by lifting the protective plate, for example by inserting a chisel between the lower edge 45 of the plate and the surface of the screw, one makes the elastic ring enter the groove, by the wedge effect of the oblique surface, which makes it possible to remove the plate.
In order to facilitate the introduction of the chisel, the edge 45 of the lower face of the protection plate is advantageously slightly chamfered.
In the bottom 40 of the main screw is provided a further hole 41. ,, which tapers slightly in a cone downwards. Through this conical hole passes a retaining bolt 42, the rod 43 of which is conical. This bolt has a left-hand thread, through which it is secured in a threaded hole 44 in the shaft 8. The retaining bolt 42 prevents the main screw from loosening on its own. The seat, slightly conical, in fact produces good adhesion of the contact surfaces of the main screw 26 and the retaining bolt 42.
When turning the main screw 26 to the left, the retaining bolt. because of its thread on the left, even tightens more in the seat, which 'prevents any loosening of the screw 26. To release the shaft from the crusher cone, the plate is first removed, as indicated above, protection by means of a chisel. Next, the retaining bolt is unscrewed using a barrel wrench and then screw 26 is unscrewed with a double-ended wrench.
A transmission pulley 10, serving at the same time as a flywheel, is attached to the lower end, in the form of a shaft 7, of the eccentric clamp 9. As shown in Figure 1, a motor
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
electric 20, carrying a transmission pulley 19, is placed outside the frame 5. The two pulleys are connected together by belts 21.
The whole machine is mounted on four support springs 18, for example cylindrical rubber blocks, fixed to the lower frame 5. The material to be crushed, introduced at the top in part 1 of the frame, for example stones, is crushed in the crushing slot 32 and descends through the annular space 23, provided with ribs 22, into the crusher cage, from where it is discharged.
CLAIMS. l.- Gyratory crusher whose crusher cone is mounted in the eccentric cradle of the machine by means of a shaft driven into the crusher cone and held by a main screw, characterized in that a protective plate, facing upper smooth, is placed on the main screw, and is provided, on the lower face, with a cylindrical plug, having a groove intended to receive an elastic ring, the upper face of the main screw having a cylindrical hole which corresponds to the diameter of the dowel 'and flares out conically at the bottom into a cavity, so that, when inserting the dowel into the hole,
the elastic ring engaged in the flared part. thus fixing the protection plate.
