Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

   The present invention relates to boxes of cardboard or a similar material for containing bottles, cans or other objects.

   It relates to various new arrangements by which the bottom of the box can be made in such a way that the products to be packaged act to make this bottom hold more firmly.

   It also relates to a design by which the handles can be performed by particularly simple means.

   In the accompanying drawings, Figures 1 to 7 relate to the bottoms and Figures 8 to 11 to the handles.

   As emerges from Figure 1, in the boot according to Figures 1 to 7, each of the large faces 1 is provided,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 up a handle 2 fixed by clips 3 or by other members and carries along its lower edge a folding tab divided by a fold line 4 into two bands 5 and 6.

   Each small face 7 carries along its lower edge two separate and juxtaposed tabs 9.

   As shown in Figure 2, the sheet forming one of the small faces 7 is integral with the large faces 1 while for the other face 7 a strip 10 is integral with a face 1 and is partially superimposed on a strip 11 of smaller width integral with the other large face. The strips 10 and 11 are stapled together (reference 12, figure 3).

   To make the bottom: 1) strips 5-6 are folded together around the corresponding lower longitudinal edge 14 of one of the large faces
1 (fig. 4) 2) the bands 6 are folded relative to the bands 5 in such a way that the bands 6 are juxtaposed perpendicular to the bands 5 brought in the extension of one of the other perpendicular to the large faces .

  3) the tongues 9 are bent so as to come and overlap each time on a strip 5 (position 91 in FIG. 5); 4) the bands 6 are folded down so as to overlap each time with a band 5 (fig. 5-7).

   But an essential feature is that when the legs 5-6-9 have been folded down to form the bottom a plate 13, for example made of cardboard is placed above the legs 6 which have been folded down and seals the bottom.

   We understand that the products to be packaged which are put in the boot make the bottom hold more.

   Figures 8 to 11 relate to a device! in which the large faces 1 are provided upwardly with flanges 15

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 folded inwards And the handles are formed of separate elements 16 provided with notches 17 for gripping and slidable in slots 18 formed in the intersection of the faces 1 and the flanges 15.

   Downwards, the elements 16 have, at the ends of their lower edge, lateral projections 19 which, during transport of the box, come into contact with the fold 20 forming the intersection between the face 1 and the flange 15 and acting as a stopper. .

   The handle arrangement according to FIGS. 8 to 11 could possibly be used without resorting at the same time to the arrangement provided for the funds according to FIGS. 1 to 7.

   Thanks to this arrangement, the handles are produced by particularly simple means and the flanges 15 are held in the box by the goods itself.

  CLAIMS
