<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
La figure 1 est une vue, en élévation et considérée du-côté'du préposé au guichet, du dispositif selon l'invention appliqué en regard d'une ouverture dite "passe-monnaie";
La figure 2 est une vue partielle et en coupe trans- versale selon la ligne de coupe II-II de la fige 1;
La figure 3 est une vue analogue à celle de la fig. 2, à plus grande échelle ;
La figure 4 est une vue partielle en plan, considérée selon la ligne de coupe IV-IV de la fig. 1 , d'une variante de réalisation;

The present invention relates to a shutter for a window. More specifically, it relates to a device serving to close at will an opening, called a “money pass”, made in the glazed partition of a window and flush with the shelf of the latter.
It is known that such an opening, of low height, is provided for the exchange of cash and flat objects, for example papers, in many glazed counters. This opening is liable to allow passage of a fairly strong air current, from which the attendant generally protects himself by makeshift means, for example by means of a sheet of cardboard temporarily masking the opening in question.
The object of the invention is to remedy the aforementioned drawback by a device, of pleasant appearance, making it possible to close or leave free, at will, a counter opening of the aforesaid type.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The device according to the invention comprises a plate of transparent material provided with a gripping means for its operation and sliding, with gentle friction, between two vertical uprights which apply, laterally on either side of the opening. to be closed, against the glass partition and on the side of the counter attendant.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from an embodiment of a removable closure device for a counter, the description of which is given below, by way of example and without limitation, in with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a view, in elevation and considered from the side of the attendant at the counter, of the device according to the invention applied opposite a so-called "money pass" opening;
FIG. 2 is a partial view in cross section along section line II-II of fig 1;
FIG. 3 is a view similar to that of FIG. 2, on a larger scale;
FIG. 4 is a partial plan view, taken along section line IV-IV of FIG. 1, of an alternative embodiment;
FIG. 5 is a partial view in vertical section; and
FIG. 6 is a view taken along the line this section VI-VI of FIG. 3.
The removable shutter device for a window, more especially for the so-called "money-pass" opening consists essentially of a pair of uprights 1 between which can slide vertically a shutter 2 provided with a gripping means 3 for his maneuver. The uprights 2 are integral with a base 4 resting on a counter 5 shelf. Preferably, the base 4 as well as the uprights 1 are made of metal, and the shutter 2 is made of a plate of transparent material, for example in

glass, ice or synthetic product.
The device is placed opposite an opening 6, called a "money pass", made in a glazed partition 7 flush with the shelf 5 and is applied against this partition on the side of the attendant at the counter. When the shutter 2 is in the fully raised position, as shown in dotted lines in fig. 1, the open. ture 6 is free. To close the latter, all you have to do is lower shutter 2.
In cross section, the uprights 1 have the shape of a U, the opening of which is directed towards the shutter 2. Each of them is surmounted by a cap or the like 8 which fits into it and is integral with it. removable way, for example, by means of a screw 9 (fig. 5). The caps 8 constitute stops for the shutter 2 sliding in height. At each of its lateral sides, the shutter 2 is fixed, for example, by means of screws 10, to an iron 11, in particular in the form of a U, the opening of which is directed towards the upright 1 in which it is housed. Between the wings of the irons in
U 11 are rotatably fixed at least two rollers 12, the running surface of which rests against the transverse and inner face of the respective upright 1 (fig. 5).
Advantageously, so that the cover 2, when it is raised, is maintained in the position which is given to it, on one of the lateral faces of each of the U-shaped irons 11, preferably on the face directed towards the attendant's side. at the window, is fixed a curved leaf spring 13 resting gently against the opposite inner face of the respective upright 1 (fig. 6).
On their side opposite to the glazed partition 7, the uprights 1 are fixed flush with the edge of the base 4, so that they apply exactly against the pane 7.
As shown in fig. 3, the shutter 2 can be mounted on the irons 11 so that, despite the thickness of the wall of the uprights, 1, it is applied against the glass 7 leaving

There are no gaps that may allow passage of a weak air current.
The device described above can simply be placed on the shelf 5 of the counter or fixed to the latter, for example by means of screws 14 (FIG. 2). Its base 4 can also be built into the shelf 5.
When the base 4 protrudes from the plane of the shelf 5, it is advantageous that its sides, directed both towards the opening 6 and towards the attendant, are on a gentle slope.
As represented by fig. 4, facing the opening 6 and on either side thereof, the base 4 can be extended into a plate 15, flat, optionally provided with transverse grooves or other means facilitating the gripping of the currency, or slightly concave; in the latter case, the lower edge of the shutter 2 will advantageously have a shape such that it closely matches the hollow formed by the plate 15.
It is understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above with reference to the drawings, and that, without departing from its spirit, modifications of detail can be made thereto, provided that they are not in contradiction with any of the subsequent claims.
