" METIER A FILER A ANNEAU A POTS ET ANALOGUE, AINSI
QUE POTS A RUBAN POUR DE TELS METIERS ".-
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"POT RING AND ANALOGUE SPINNING TRADE, SO
THAT RIBBON POTS FOR SUCH TRADES ".-
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention relates to a pot arrangement which allows, using an applicant's high draw bed, to spin directly on the spinning machine from the stretched ribbon. The hitherto known methods necessarily entail in all embodiments, in addition to a much larger footprint, the creation of new types of spinning looms as well as machines hitherto not customary in them. preparatory installations.
Further, the service in this process is very complicated, so that despite 25 to 30 preparatory work on the part of textile machine manufacturers, this process has not been able to expand significantly in any way. Another very big defect was, even if only occurring once, the ever larger material feed for the ring spinning machine, which in comparison with the usual feed for the spindle bed, requires , for the pot, a quantity 6 to 8 times greater. This disadvantage is still much greater when it comes to the treatment of combed material because these must be spun at finer numbers so that the above mentioned numbers must be multiplied.
Precisely for the materials mentioned above, in the process which is the basis of the invention, particular advantages are to be expected, and in fact because, while with uncoated materials, one to two steps of work, it takes, with combed materials, three to four passes to the pins.
The pot arrangement according to the invention no longer presents these drawbacks. The pot used while retaining the diameter used until now, does not require any
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
change in stretching.
The height of the pot allows them to be accommodated in the usual space until now of the spool rack of the ring spinning loom. By changing the drawing bench, respectively the execution of the rack, it is possible to transform any ring spinning machine into a pot spinning machine. The contents of the pot can be chosen at will and amounts, for example, for a diameter of 9 inches and a height of 300 mm to 1.2 kg in round figures, which is roughly twice that of a spinning spindle used so far.
By guiding the wick centrally between the pots, the service from the front when changing the pots is easy to do, so that continuous work of the ring spinning machine is ensured from the side of the stretched bit.
The assembly of the pots heretofore customary was normally carried out on continuous floors or on bar grids extending in the longitudinal direction of the loom.
Contrary to this, the spinning pots according to the invention are threaded on (or removed from) guides arranged transversely or obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the loom. By this arrangement, service, such as putting on and taking off the pots, is significantly facilitated because the person servicing the loom can grip the pots at the lower edge of the bearing surface or through a hole or the like. at the bottom and, without changing the grip, engage or release them. This arrangement means that the service of the upper floors, in particular, can be carried out without fatigue even by small staff.
Also, by this arrangement, the position of the pots is fixed in relation to the spinning position. Another advantage is given by the choice of a surface of
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
narrow laying, on the one hand to allow the least possible deposit of dust and on the other hand to facilitate the monitoring of the trade.
Another important advantage is that by making the jars of transparent material or provided with a monitoring glass' or a monitoring slot, the contents of the jars can be checked at any time. It is still particularly important that, by the particular shape of the spinning pots, their return to empty and their bulk for storage have been taken into account. It is also advantageous that the costly dust extraction or blowing installations are completely eliminated, since the contents of the pots do not undergo any dusting.
With regard to desiccation, the content of the jars is much more guaranteed than in the case of the spits. Even the path necessary once now, from the freely suspended stretched wick, from the pot to the drawing bench, is, in this arrangement, limited to the minimum, so that here again there is no 'disadvantages such as flow or desiccation phenomena. These are all advantages over the devices known until now, such as pots in the art, pots under an intermediate floor, pots above an intermediate floor, pots behind the loom in the case of a single loom or double-sided, etc ...
Known winding coils require in the normal working process a special machine for the production of these windings as well as a special drawing device. Furthermore, such rolling bodies themselves are subject to damage even with careful transport.
An example of an embodiment of the arrangement
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
according to the invention is shown in the drawing. In FIG. 1, at a, we can recognize the pots which, suitably shaped, find their place in the space previously occupied by the coils rack.
Figures la, 2 and 3 show by way of example the guides for the spinning pots, arranged obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the machine, in elevation, in plan and sideways.
Figure 4 shows the guides arranged perpendicularly, or obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the machine.
Hereinafter, a few embodiments according to the invention will be described which are used with advantage, in particular for the spinning machine, a pot ring of the type described above. Basically, the jar has a very different conformation than usual !, and in fact because the development described above in the field of spinning, emanating from the inventor, tends to replace the methods usually used to this day by a pot spinning process, without the need for more. place than previously for their accommodation- in this $ special trades.
This last point amounts to saying that we can transfer the principle of spinning with pots to ring spinning machines and others, without having to exceed the widths or the size practiced to date.
From this it is characteristic for the pot according to the invention that by maintaining the usual diameter the height is reduced to about one third of the usual height hitherto.
The pot embodiment characterized quite generally in the foregoing also includes
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
a conformation with a stepped cylindrical envelope than an embodiment, with the envelope widening conically upwards.
In all cases, a drawback of the methods used up to now ', namely in particular, is avoided. that in the process of direct spinning] from the pulling tape a special machine is avoided, necessarily entailing a large space requirement, a large execution = of the spinning machine itself, and notable impediments
EMI6.1
d.ne.S 1 1G snJr Y'.in \ rer The transport is then noticeably facilitated if, '(r r., kft.'!. in 31 the sprit of the invention;, 'a, information is chosen. such that the empty jars can be placed one in the other. In this way, many jars can be placed in one another, so the transport and the storage n practically entail more difficulties.
So as not to interfere with the continuous departure of the stretched tape from the pot, the execution of the pot in transparent material, or in mate. The non-transparent channel with a surveillance glass or even with an open viewing slit at the lower part of the jar allows the contents of the jar to be checked at any time.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is reproduced in the drawings and will be described in the following - in Figure 5 there is shown a container forming a cylindrical pot a with a lower monitoring opening b.
- in Figure 6, we recognize a container shaped

jar core composed of two staggered sections e and d again with a monitoring pane 3.
- in Figure 7, there is shown a container f of conical appearance which also has a viewing window
Following a development of the inventive idea, we

provides the spinning pot with an operating member to allow easy and quick change of the spinning pot in the spinning machine or the like. More preferably, the envelope surface of the pot is extended above the bottom edge of the spinning pot, thereby providing a surface for hand gripping of service personnel.
It is also possible to provide in the bottom of the spinning pot, a recess of any elongated, round or triangular shape. Finally, according to the invention, a handle could be adapted to the casing of the pot in the region of the monitoring opening, for example by riveting, welding, spot welding or the like. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
- Figure 8 shows a cylindrical pot with an extended pot envelope surface downward.
- Figure 9 shows a stepped cylindrical pot with also an envelope lowered beyond the bottom of the pot.
- Figure 10 shows a conical pot with the envelope stretched downwards.
The handle is indicated in the figures by the reference signs h, i and, and can be shaped by pulling inside or pushing back the bottom of the pot or by placing an additional annular band on the lower end of the surface. envelope.
It is also possible to fix a handle on the casing of the pot, for example by riveting, welding, stapling, soldering, gluing.
It is also possible to provide in the bottom of the pot an opening through which the service personnel can pass their hand.
