The invention relates to a light two-wheeled vehicle for transporting persons of the type of auxiliary motor bicycles or motor scooters. The machine in question is characterized by the essential novelty that it comprises a self-supporting frame produced by stamping as opposed to the known types of construction in which these light vehicles comprise a tubular frame, covered with suitable fittings.
According to the invention, the principle of the self-supporting frame as a replacement for an attached gasket can be applied in such a way that the engine itself as well as the dynamo and the carburetor are housed inside the engine. frame. The gasoline tank can also be constituted by a part of the frame by the addition of partitions which separate or isolate a determined part of the interior space of said frame.
A particularly successful arrangement consists in locating the reservoir in the upper front part of the frame and in giving the lower wall of said reservoir the form of a deflection plate disposed above an air inlet situated at the bottom. the front at the bottom of the chassis, so as to bring the cooling air to the engine placed at the very bottom of the chassis.
According to the invention, the outlet for the cooling air is located at the rear of the raised front part of the chassis and may have a shape such that it can serve as a handle for lifting the vehicle. Additional openings for the cooling air may be provided in the form of slotted gills on either side of the part of the frame in which the engine is housed. According to the invention, an exhaust opening for cooling air is also provided at the rear of the compartment which contains the engine, below the covering of the rear wheel, this opening being provided with a protection tab against projections of dust and mud of this wheel.
A particularly advantageous construction resulting from the invention consists in making the lower part of the frame removable, which on the other hand contributes to ensuring the rigidity of the assembly and which supports the engine, in such a way that this the latter can be removed from the frame at the same time as said lower part fixed by screws.
In order to spare the engine, it is possible to interpose between the latter and the rear wheel a freewheel device to prevent the engine, instead of being driven by the force of the vehicle, running empty when the latter is running at a speed higher than that which corresponds to the speed of the motor, while the drive of the wheel is talking, the motor is again ensured by a rigid coupling as soon as the conditions are reversed, that is to say - say as soon as the engine speed becomes greater than that resulting from the speed of the vehicle.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically a vertical section of the chassis of the vehicle according to the invention, and shows by way of example various details thereof.
In this exemplary embodiment, the chassis consists of a self-supporting box, the front part 1 of which is raised and carries at its upper part the front fork 2 which is mounted therein in the usual way. The interior of this raised front part directly acts as a fuel tank, being closed at the bottom by a partition 3. This partition separates the tank 4 from the engine chamber 5 and is shaped in such a way that it constitutes a deflector, so that the air entering through a front opening 6 is supplied to the motor 7 disposed behind it.
The support ¯8 of the motor 7 is made up of a supporting part of the frame to which it is attached by screws and from which it can be removed.

vee after loosening the screws in question. We begin by removing the retaining bolt 10 which passes through the top of the motor housing, after which the support 8 can be removed as a whole together with the motor with its accessories.
There are three places for cooling air outlets. One of these outlets is located at the upper part of the frame and is designed to constitute a handle 11 by means of which the whole machine can be lifted. Two other openings are provided on either side in the form of side openings 12 arranged at the rear of the engine. There is moreover an additional opening 13 at the very rear of the engine, below the cover 14 of the rear wheel 15. This opening is protected by a tab 16 which prevents the introduction of mud or dust which be thrown by this wheel.
The housings 17 containing the coil springs which ensure the suspension of the rear wheel are mounted directly to the carrier housing of said wheel.
Only the parts which relate to the invention have been shown in full in the accompanying drawing. All other parts, such as the front wheel, the front fork, the engine and its accessories, the drive coupling of the engine to the rear wheel, the pedals and the rear wheel have or have been omitted, shown partially , or indicated in dotted lines), and should obviously not be described.
