Parmi les nombreuses bandes extensibles, utilisées actuellement, notamment comme pansements, bandages de soutien, bandes à varices, etc... on peut citer les bandes en crêpe,en caoutchouc en "nylon" irisé ou mousse, etcooo
La présente invention concerne une bande qui n'est extensible que dans le sens de sa longueur,se plaque intégralement sans comprimer, et ne présente aucune "nervosité" comme cela est le cas avec les gommes no- tamment.
Cette bande est essentiellement constituée par un ruban avec deux lisières tissées composé par une chaîne en fil synthétique qui peut subir une torsion frisée et acquérir de ce fait un certain pourcentage d'extensibilité, par exemple un fil frisé en "nylon" ou "orlon" et par une trame en fil de coton inextensibleo
Il est connu que le fil de "nylon frisé" ainsi que l'orlon ou autre sont extensibles tandis que le fil de coton est pratiquement inextensible.
Par fil frisé il faut entendre un fil qui a subi par moulinage des torsions dans les deux senso
Avec un duitagé de la bande étirée d'environ 12 fils en chaîne et 12 fils en trame au cm2,l'extensibilité longitudinale de la bande est d'environ 100 %, et l'extensibilité latérale pratiquement nulle.
Cette bande présente en outre l'avantage de pouvoir être lavée à l'eau chaude, stérilisée de très nombreuses fois, passéé dans des bains à 50 % de javel ou d'alcali, repassée au fer chaud à 1200 c'est-à-dire être récupérée après usage et ramenée à son état neuf avec toutes ses qualités.
