On connaît déjà des bas à varices qui sont confectionnés exclusivement au moyen de fils bouclés synthétiques ou sont exé- cutés en combinaison avec ceux-ci. Ces bas à varices connus offrent toutefois l'inconvénient que les fils bouclés s'appliquer sur la peau. Ceci n'est pas à conseiller pour des bas servant à des usages médicaux, car l'expérience a montré que la jambe ma- lade réagit autrement que celles d'une personne saine et que beaucoup de personnes ne peuvent pas supporter le contact direct des fils bouclés synthétiques sur la peau: En particulier cette matière n'est pas capable d'absorption, de telle sorte que par exemple elle ne peut pas aspirer la sueur'et l'évacuer rapide- ment à l'extérieur.

L'invnetion a pour but de procurer un bas à varices avec intercalation de fil de trame' en matière élastique, qui ne mésente pas cet inconvénient. Elle atteint ce résultat en dis- posant en regar de chaque maille: longuement. flottante. en matière agréable à- la peau comme par exemple en coton une maille double ou multiple à mailles de même longueur,formée au- moins de deux conrtes mailles distinctes dont l'mie au moins' est constituée d'une matière élasticité. Un mode d'exécution particulèrement simple est obtenu:
lorsqu'on adjoint à chaque maille interne lon- guement flottante une maille double, contigus.' dent une des mailles est faite en une matière agréable à la. peau et dont l'autre maille est constituée d'une matière élastique.
Le dessin annexé montre à plus grande échelle, à titre. d'exemple, un fragment d'un bas à varices confectionné suivant un mode d'exécution de 1'invention.. La figuré 1 en est une vue de face et figure 2 une coupe transversale du tissu.
Le fil de trame en caoutchouc est désigné par 1, les fils de coton (ligne double)-par 2 et les fils bouclés en ma- tière synthétique élastique par 3 (trait fort unique). Au moyen du fil de coton on forme des mailles intérieures longuement flot-' tantes, dont la longueur est égale à la di-stance qui sépare l'un de l'autre deux fils de trame en caoutchouc 1; à côté de chacune des mailles longuement flottante on forme au moyen de son fil une maille extérieure plus courte 5 qu'on relie à une maille extérieure 6 en matière bouclée. Entre deux mailles internes consécutives longuement flottantes se trouve donc chaque fois une maille double, à deux mailles de même longueur, dont l'une des mailles distincte 5 est faite d'un fil-de coton et l'autre d'une matière synthétique bouclée.
Comme le montre spécialement la figure 2 la face interne du bas (gaucho).se compose exclu- sivement de fils de coton, tandis que le cote extérieur (droite),

comprend alternativement des fils en coton et des fils en matière synthétique élastique.
Le bas confectionné suivant l'invention peut être exé- cuté aussi bien dans des métiers circulaires que dans des machines à tricoter rectilignes.
Toutefois les fils pourraient encore être disposés d'une autre manière par exemple à chaque maille interne longue pourrait correspondre une maille multiple, dont l'une des mailles distinc- tes au moins pourrait être faite en une matière élastique. Toute- fois la forme d'exécution représehtée est particulièrement simplet Comme matière élastique toute matière propre à remplir ce but peut-être employé opportunément.
