L'invention a pour objet des perfectionnements aux masques utilisables en particulier pour la filtration de l'air contenant des poussières et constitués par une feuille en matière filtrante repliée sur elle-même en forme de poche s'appuyant à sa partie inférieure sous le menton du porteur et à sa partie supérieure à la base du nez de celui-ci.
Un tel masque pour être efficace doit s'appliquer parfaitement sur le visage de l'utilisateur sans que les mouvements de sa mâchoire ne provoquent de rentrée d'air chargé de poussières.
L'invention a plus particulièrement pour objet des dispositions permettant de satisfaire à cette condition.
A cet effet la matière filtrante en feuille constituant la poche est une matière plastique microporeuse légèrement élastique et les bords de l'ouverture de la poche qu'elle constitue sont repliés sur eux-mêmes de manière à former un ourlet épais et élastique se prêtant aux mouvements de la mâchoire,c'est-à-dire maintenant le contact avec la peau au cours des déplacements de celle-ci.
C'est d'autre part à la naissance du nez que le contact des bords du masque avec la peau est le plus difficile à réaliser, ces bords tendant à passer en ligne droite depuis l'arête du nez jusqu'à la joue sans suivre exactement la courbe naturelle de raccordement, laquelle peut d'autre part varier très sensiblement d'un usager à l'autre. Il est donc nécessaire de donner dans cette zone une élasticité toute particulière au bord de la poche.
Ce résultat est obtenu très simplement suivant l'invention en libérant localement l'ourlet de manière que l'ourlet libéré se détende élas-

tiquement suivant une courbe déformable correspondant sensiblement à la courbe de raccordement du nez et de la joue.
Le dessin annexé permet par un exemple de réalisation, de mieux comprendre l'invention.

Le masque représenté est constitué par une poche obtenue à partir d'une feuille de matière élastique microporeuse convenablement découpée repliée sur elle-même le long de la ligne inférieure A et assemblée par collage le long de la lignè courbe B; l'usager engage la partie inférieure de son visage dans l'ouverture de cette poche de manière que les bords de celle-ci viennent s'appliquer contre son menton et la base de son nez. Il est maintenu en place par un lien élastique 1 fixé sur les parois latérales extérieures opposées à la poche en 2 et 2'.
Conformément à l'invention, le contour de l'ouverture de la poche comporte un bourrelet 3 constitué par le repliement du bord livre, sur luimême et vers l'intérieur, et sa couture ou son collage le long de la ligne 4. Ce bourrelet 3 en s'écrasant sur la peau comme indiqué en 1 et a' assure l'étanchéité tout en permettant de légers mouvements relatifs.
Dans le plan de la ligne horizontale II-II, la courbure de raccordement du nez avec la joue est plus accentuée et plus variable d'un sujet à l'autre qu'en toute autre partie, il est donc nécessaire de donner dans ce plan une souplesse et une possibilité de déformation plus grande. A cet effet la couture 4 est libérée dans la zone considérée de manière que l'un des éléments du bourrelet se détende élastiquement en 3a en s'appuyant sur le visage.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Masque en matière filtrante pour la filtration de l'air, en forme de poche s'appuyant à sa partie inférieure sous le menton et à son extrémité supérieure sur la partie inférieure du nez, caractérisé en ce qu' il est constitué d'une feuille de matière plastique microporeuse et légèrement élastique repliée sur les bords de la poche de manière à former un ourlet, épais et élastique.

Such a mask, in order to be effective, must be applied perfectly to the user's face without the movements of his jaw causing a re-entry of air laden with dust.
The subject of the invention is more particularly arrangements making it possible to satisfy this condition.
For this purpose, the sheet filter material constituting the bag is a slightly elastic microporous plastic material and the edges of the opening of the bag that it constitutes are folded back on themselves so as to form a thick and elastic hem lending themselves to jaw movements, i.e. maintaining contact with the skin during the movements of the latter.
It is on the other hand at the birth of the nose that the contact of the edges of the mask with the skin is most difficult to achieve, these edges tend to pass in a straight line from the bridge of the nose to the cheek without following exactly the natural connection curve, which can also vary very appreciably from one user to another. It is therefore necessary to give this zone a very particular elasticity at the edge of the pocket.

The mask shown is constituted by a pocket obtained from a sheet of microporous elastic material suitably cut, folded back on itself along the lower line A and assembled by gluing along the curved line B; the user engages the lower part of his face in the opening of this pocket so that the edges of the latter come to rest against his chin and the base of his nose. It is held in place by an elastic link 1 fixed to the outer side walls opposite the pocket at 2 and 2 '.
According to the invention, the outline of the opening of the pocket comprises a bead 3 formed by the folding of the book edge, on itself and inwards, and its stitching or its gluing along line 4.
