Description

The present invention relates to the field of childcare. She particularly relates to an improved bib.

Bibs typically used when feeding babies include a screen, usually a piece of cloth, and a tie to secure the screen around the baby's neck. However, having this bond around the neck, the baby often feels a feeling of strangulation; however, the tie is all the more tight as one wishes to sufficiently adjust the bib around the neck in order to ensure protection of the baby. Besides the baby's discomfort, this feeling of strangulation can cause leaks when he regurgitates.

Other types of bibs exist that do not have a link but two legs, each positioned on one side of the baby's neck. These bibs are made of a sufficiently rigid plastic so that the tabs ensure the attachment of the bib, without them needing to be fixed together at the back of the neck.

However, due to their necessary rigidity, these bibs are uncomfortable and provide poor protection for the baby. The documents US2014250558 and JP2006299431 are examples of the state of the art and describe bibs according to the preamble of claim 1.

The object of the invention is to provide a bib which provides a good seal around the neck of a baby while ensuring sufficient comfort.

To achieve its goal, the invention provides a bib, in particular for feeding a baby, comprising a piece of flexible fabric forming a screen to protect the baby's torso and also a notch provided to come to the front of the neck. of the baby, and, a silicone collar, crescent-shaped, intended to be mounted in the notch and comprising an internal margin which protrudes from the fabric, inside the notch. The internal margin may have a thickness of between 0.2 and 0.7 millimeter, preferably close to 0.4 millimeter.

The collar includes an external margin, designed to be superimposed with the piece of fabric. This outer margin may have a thickness of between 0.5 and 1.5 millimeters, preferably close to 1 millimeter.

The collar includes a band attached to an edge of the cutout preferably by stitching, the inner margin extending along a first edge of the band and the outer margin extending along an opposite edge of the band.

The piece of fabric advantageously comprises two tabs extending upwards and forming with the notch an opening, preferably substantially circular, for accommodating the neck therein.

The legs can include respective free ends which form a free passage between them.

The legs can be symmetrical to each other, so that the passage extends axially and is positioned at the back of the neck.

The tabs can also be dissymmetrical with each other, a first tab extending substantially to one end of the neck, the second tab being longer than the first so that its free end substantially opposite the free end of the first tab, the passage extending laterally relative to the opening. This arrangement is more practical for fitting the bib, when you are next to the baby.

Rather than leaving a free passage, the tabs may include free ends provided to overlap one another, these ends preferably comprising reciprocal engagement means. These reciprocal gripping means are preferably chosen from a press-stud, two magnets and a velvet-hook complex.

In an embodiment without a tab, the bib may include two tubular sleeves extending in the upper part of the screen.

The figures 1 to 3 each illustrate a respective embodiment for a bib 1 according to the invention. Bibs are shown as they are when placed on a flat surface. For convenience of description, what is called "top" is that which is near the top of the sheet of drawings and what is called "bottom" is what is closer to the bottom of the sheet of drawings.

These bibs 1 are designed to protect a baby, and his clothes if he is dressed, during his feeding. In these first three embodiments, each bib comprises a piece of fabric 2 and a silicone collar 3. The piece of fabric 2 is cut to form on the one hand a screen 4 and on the other hand means 6 for fixing this. screen around the baby's neck. The screen 4 forms, in its upper part, all or part of a notch 10, designed to come in front of the baby's neck.

The piece of fabric 2 is flexible. The term "fabric" should be understood in a broad sense. The part can be in a terry cloth, in oilcloth, in a woven or non-woven "fabric", in plastic, in organic material, in paper.

In a first embodiment, illustrated on figure 1 , the fixing means comprise two tabs 6 extending upwardly as an extension of the lateral edges 7 of the screen 4. The tabs are symmetrical with respect to one another, each having an arcuate shape, so that they form between them and with the notch 10 of the screen 4 a circular opening 8 provided for the passage of the baby's neck. Each tab 6 has a free end 9. The respective free ends of the tabs face each other and between them forms a free space 11, provided for the introduction of the baby's neck into the opening 8.

The side edges 7 of the screen are substantially vertical. The screen 4 is bordered at the bottom by a substantially horizontal transverse lower edge 12 connected to each side edge by a quarter-circle connecting edge.

Le bord périphérique 14 habillé d'un biais 17, c'est-à-dire d'un ruban de tissu cousu sur elle-même à travers le bord périphérique 14.The same peripheral edge 14, closed on itself borders the whole of the piece of fabric 2. Starting from the lower edge, the peripheral edge comprises successively: a first of the fittings 13, a lateral edge 7, an outer edge of a first tab 6, an edge going around the free end 9 of this first tab, an inner edge 16 of the opening 8, an edge going around the free end 9 of the second tab, an outer edge of this second tab, the second lateral edge 7, and the second connector 13, thus closing on the lower bard 12. The peripheral edge 14 covered with a bias 17, that is to say with a strip of fabric sewn onto itself to through the peripheral edge 14.

  • un bandeau central 21 sensiblement circulaire ;
  • une marge interne 22 ; et,
  • une marge externe 23.
The neck 3 used in this first embodiment is more particularly illustrated on figure 5 . It is crescent-shaped, substantially semi-circular. He understands :
  • a substantially circular central strip 21;
  • an internal margin 22; and,
  • an external margin 23.

De préférence, l'épaisseur E22 de la marge interne 22 est moindre que l'épaisseur E23 de la marge externe 23.The band 21 is designed to be sewn with the inner edge 16 of the opening 8. The inner margin 22 extends along the band 21; it has a substantially constant width L22, measured perpendicular to the band 21, except at the ends 24 of the neck, or its width gradually decreases. The outer margin 23 extends along the strip 21; it has a substantially constant width L22, measured perpendicular to the strip 21. The thickness E22 of the internal margin 22 and the thickness E23 of the external margin 23 are less than the thickness of the strip, these thicknesses being measured perpendicular to the plane of the figure. Preferably, the thickness E22 of the internal margin 22 is less than the thickness E23 of the external margin 23.

The collar is mounted on the bib, as shown on the figure 1 , it occupies the lower part of the opening 8, in the notch 10 of the screen 4; the internal margin 22 protrudes into the opening 8 and the external margin 23 is superimposed on the piece of fabric 2. The piece 2 being only sewn to the strip 21 the margins 22, 23 are substantially free to take a shape suitable for forming a good tightness with the baby's neck.

We will now describe a second embodiment for a bib 1 according to the invention, with reference to the figure 2 , only in that it differs from the first embodiment.

In this second embodiment, a first leg 6A among the two legs 6 is truncated, so that its free end is substantially at the height of a corresponding end 24 of the neck 3. The other leg 6B is elongated, so that the passage 11 is disposed laterally.

A third embodiment, illustrated on figure 3 , differs from the first embodiment in that the lower edge, instead of being horizontal, has the shape of a point pointing downwards.

We will now describe a fourth embodiment for a bib 1 according to the invention, with reference to the figure 4 , only in that it differs from the first embodiment.

In this fourth embodiment, the bib 1 does not include tabs. It comprises two tubular sleeves 31 extending on either side of the screen 4, in its upper part. The sleeves and an upper edge of the screen form a notch 10 in which the collar 3 is mounted. The notch 10 and the collar have substantially the same size. The back of the bib 1 is fully open, so that only the sleeves 31 hold the bib on the baby's collar.

In all of the embodiments which have just been described, the neck is arranged so that, in its position of use, it comes into contact with the baby's neck. The cervix adheres well to the baby's skin, without feeling anxious, that is to say, it protects the baby from the feeling of strangulation. Collar 3 does not go around the neck because the sensation of strangulation, such as swallowing movements, is at the front of the neck.

On va maintenant décrire un deuxième mode de réalisation pour un col selon l'invention, en référence à la figure 6, en ce qu'il diffère du premier mode de réalisation précédemment décrit en référence à la figure 5.We will now describe a second embodiment for a neck according to the invention, with reference to the figure 6 , in that it differs from the first embodiment previously described with reference to figure 5 .

In this embodiment, the shape of the neck is substantially semi-elliptical, the large diameter being vertical, i.e. the shape of the neck, instead of being substantially circular as in the case of the figure 5 , is stretched vertically.

In the first embodiment of the neck, illustrated on figure 5 , the dimensions are approximately:
  • outer diameter D21 of strip 21: 110 mm
  • internal diameter D22 of the internal margin 22: 80 mm
  • outer diameter D23 of the outer margin 23: 126 mm
  • width L22 of the internal margin: 11.5 mm
  • width L23 of the external margin: 8 mm
  • E22 thickness of the internal margin: 0.4 mm
  • E23 thickness of the outer margin: 1.0 mm
where the diameters are measured horizontally between the ends 24 of the neck 3.

Ce premier mode de réalisation est plus particulièrement adapté aux bébés de 0 à 6 moisThis first embodiment is more particularly suitable for babies from 0 to 6 months

In the second embodiment of the neck, illustrated on figure 6 , the dimensions are approximately:
  • outer diameter D21 of strip 21: 117 mm
  • internal diameter D22 of the internal margin 22: 87 mm
  • outer diameter D23 of the outer margin 23: 134 mm
  • width L22 of the internal margin: 11.5 mm
  • width L23 of the external margin: 8 mm
  • E22 thickness of the internal margin: 0.4 mm
  • E23 thickness of the outer margin: 1.0 mm
where the diameters are measured horizontally between the ends 24 of the neck 3.

Ce deuxième mode de réalisation est plus particulièrement adapté aux bébés de 5 mois à 1 an.This second embodiment is more particularly suitable for babies from 5 months to 1 year old.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the preferred embodiments which have just been described but, on the contrary, the invention is defined by the claims which follow.

It will indeed appear to those skilled in the art that various modifications can be made to the embodiments described above, in the light of the teaching which has just been disclosed to him.

In bibs according to the invention, the sealing of the bib is mainly ensured by the contact of the silicone collar with the baby's skin. It is therefore not useful to tighten the bib around the neck. Thus, in the examples described above, the bib is not tied around the neck. It is nevertheless possible to provide sufficiently long legs so that their free ends can be superimposed on each other at the back of the neck, these ends advantageously comprising respective gripping means, for example a press-stud, two magnets or a velvet complex. -hook.
