PORTE-PUBLICITE DEMONTABLE, A PANNEAU PUBLICITAIRE INTERCHANGEABLE,
Fig. 2 est une vue d'au-dessus de Fig. 1.

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

REMOVABLE ADVERTISING HOLDER, WITH INTERCHANGEABLE ADVERTISING PANEL,
FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE ROOFS.
The present invention relates to an advertising carrier adaptable to the roof of motor vehicles without requiring the drilling of any hole in the roof thereof, the installation or removal of this advertising carrier can be carried out easily and quickly without using tools. In addition, the constituent elements of said advertisement holder are established and combined so as to be able to be easily disassembled and reduced to a minimum volume for their storage or storage, or for their dispatch.
For this purpose and according to the invention, the advertising holder is constituted by a frame resting on the roof of the vehicle by means of rubber blocks or suction cups, the fixing of said frame being ensured by means of tensioners s 'hanging from the gutter or other suitable element of the bodywork, the advertising panel preferably being crimped into a frame formed of a lower frame part presented by the frame and a removable upper part which is fixed to the frame. said lower part, after the panel has been installed, to complete the frame.
Other features of the invention will emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment, given with reference to the accompanying drawings in which
Fig. 1 is a front view of the longitudinal advertising carrier fixed to the roof of a motor vehicle.
Fig. 2 is a view from above of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side view of a fragment of the advertisement holder shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
Fig. 4 is a fragmentary side view showing the means of assembling the frame of the advertising board.
Fig. 5 is a sectional view, on a larger scale, taken along the line V-V of FIG. 3.
Figs. 6 and 7 are views similar to FIG. 5, showing
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
variant embodiments of the frame shown in FIG. 3.
Figs. 8, 9 and 10 are respectively front, top and side views of a transverse or frontal advertisement holder, produced according to the invention.
Figs, 11 and 12 are respectively top and front views of an advertising rack arranged diagonally on the roof of a motor vehicle.
As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the advertising holder, according to the invention, consists of a frame formed of two tubular crossbars 10, the ends of which are cut into a whistle and to which are welded flat bars 11 provided with an engaging stud. the cell of a rubber suction cup 12 placed on the roof 13 of the vehicle. Each of the flat irons 11 has a raised part willa engaged by the rod of a tensioner 14 hooking under the gutter 15-of the bodywork or to another suitable part of the latter, this tie rod being held tight by a wing nut 16 based on part 11a.
The sleepers 10 are joined, preferably, by three tubular braces 17, 18 and 19 fixed to said sleepers by screws 20 passing through the latter and engaging plugs crimped in the ends of these spacers.
In the middle of each of the sleepers 10 is welded a bracket 21 supported by supports 22, preferably welded to the bracket and to the sleeper, and ending in a portion 23 of smaller diameter (see Fig.
4) on which is fitted the corresponding hollow end of a tubular hanger 24, fixed by screws 25.
The spacer 18, the two consoles 21 and the hanger 24 form between them the frame of the advertising panel 26 (Fig. 3).
As shown in Figs. 5 to 7, the advertising panel 26 may be retained in continuous U-sections, such as 18a or discontinuous such as 24a, welded to the spacer 18 and to the hanger 24, or this spacer and the hanger may be profiled as in Fig. 6, or the panel may be fixed by screws 27 on tabs 28, or a continuous tab, welded to the spacer 18.
Considering the arrangement described and illustrated, it will be understood that the whole of the advertising-holder frame constituted by the cross members 10 and their spacers 17, 18, 19, can be easily and quickly mounted on the roof of the vehicle or removed from it. , and this by simply hooking or unhooking the tensioners 14 using the wing nuts 16.
It should also be noted that the removability of the hanger 24 or upper side of the frame of the billboard allows easy interchangeability of this panel.
This removable hanger 24 further allows complete disassembly or disassembly of the advertising frame. Indeed, and as shown in particular in Figs. 2 and 4, it suffices to remove the hanger 24, by simply unscrewing the screw 25 (Fig. 4), and removing the screws 20, ensuring that the spacers 17, 18, 19 meet the crossbars 10, to release these various elements from each other. As a result, the constituent elements of the advertising rack, constituted by said cross members, spacers and hanger, can be assembled in a bundle, for the purposes of their storage, their storage or their possible dispatch.
It will be understood that under these conditions, the device described and illustrated is particularly suitable for its adaptation in particular to utility vehicles, such as the cars of representatives or commercial travelers called upon to modify their advertising subject, or wishing to remove this advertising. during private trips for weekends or holidays, the advertising frame, even not dismantled, can be easily parked in any hallway or room of a private house.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The means described and illustrated can be applied with the same advantages when it is desired to use a front advertising panel, that is to say arranged transversely on the roof of the vehicle.
Such an arrangement is shown in Figs. 8 to 10, in which there are two sleepers 29, identical to the sleepers 10 already described, and fixed in the same way as the latter on the roof of the vehicle. These two cross members 29 are also braced by tubes 30 fixed thereto by screws 20. On one of the two cross members are fixed two brackets 31 similar to the bracket 21 of Figs. 1 to 4, the upper end of which is intended to be capped by the corresponding hollow end of the hanger 32, forming the upper side of the frame of the advertising panel 33, the frame thus formed exhibiting the characteristics as well as the possible particularities cited in connection with the framing according to these FIGS. 1 to 4.
In the case of this transverse or front panel, the frame is supported by two supports 34 on the one hand screwed at 35 to the corresponding console, and, on the other hand, welded to the spacers 30, so as to allow the separation between these supports 34 and consoles 31, during any dismantling of the frame.
Likewise in the case where the advertising frame must, as shown in Figs. 11 and 12, being arranged diagonally with respect to the roof of the vehicle, use is made of two cross members 36, also supported and fixed like the cross members 10 of Figs. 1 to 4. In this particular case, the bracket 37 of one of the cross members 36 is welded towards one end of the latter, while the bracket of the other cross member is fixed towards the opposite end. of the latter. Each of the two consoles 37 is supported by supports 38 welded to it and to the cross member on which it is mounted. The two crosspieces 36 are braced by tubes 39 attached to them in the same way as described above with regard to the spacers 17, 18 and 19.
A third spacer 40 bringing together the two consoles 37 diagonally is attached directly to the latter, for ease of assembly.
As in the two previous cases, the consoles 37 end in a portion of reduced section to receive, as before, the hollow ends of a hanger 41 forming with the consoles 37 and the spacer 40 the frame of the advertising panel. 42. The frame thus formed could obviously present the various means envisaged by FIGS. 5 to 7, to hold the advertising panel.
It is understood that in the various cases considered above, the removable frame described and illustrated may have any desirable form of fantasy. In addition, the removable upper part of the frame may be provided with any appropriate attachment means to allow the attachment, for example, of a cutout subject or other additional advertising element.
Finally, various modifications could be made in the shape or in the number of the constituent elements of the advertising holder described and illustrated.
