LESSIVEUSE.

<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>

gure 4).
The pump 2 and the agitator are mounted on a common axis 6 supported in a hub 7 of the chamber 1 and in an extension 8, lower than this chamber 1 and in which ball bearings, etc., not shown, can be provided.
The chamber 1 has, at the upper part, a circular opening 9, the diameter of which corresponds to the outside diameter of the agitator which fits (Figure 4) to the periphery of the pump 2, the normal outside diameter 10 of which however also corresponds to the diameter of the aforementioned circular opening 9. The pump 2 is screwed onto the axis 6, while the agitator 3, after fitting onto this pump 3 as indicated above, is secured to the latter by a lug 12 being disposed in a corresponding housing of the pump 2. De more, a screw 11 passes through the center of the agitator and penetrates internally to the axis 6.
Through orifices 13, the chamber 1 is placed in communication with the tank. These orifices, as shown in FIG. 1, can be arranged in two circumferences and so as to be staggered. The chamber 1 has, on the other hand, an evacuation orifice 14.
The pump device 2 has a series of lower fins
15 and a series of upper fins 16 arranged on a plane 17 which has adequate openings 18 for the passage of the liquid.
The lower fins 15 or suction fins are preferably inclined in the direction of rotation.
The upper fins 16 or delivery fins are preferably arranged behind the slots 18 with respect to the direction of rotation.
The suction 15 and delivery 16 vanes can be arranged radially or even more or less tangentially with respect to their hub 19.
The delivery vanes 16 may even be, as shown in Figure 2, partially substantially radial, partially substantially tangential.

equal to that of the fins 16 and of shape studied according to use, such as that shown in Figure 2.
The agitator 3, in addition to its outer fins 20, of any shape according to one or the other of the known types, has a certain number of peripheral openings 21, and slots 22 matching the shape of the corresponding fins 20 and arranged in front of the latter considering the direction of rotation. When the agitator 3 is fitted onto the pump 2, the joining of these two elements will preferably take place so that the delivery fins 16 are arranged below the outer fins 20 of 1? stirrer. In this way, the slits 22 of the agitator are also provided in front of the delivery vanes 16 of the pump, always considering the direction of rotation.
When the agitator 3 and the pump 2 are rotating, during washing, the liquid in the tank enters through the orifices 13 into the chamber
1. This liquid is then drawn by the fins 15, passes through the communication ports 18 in a downward movement, and is then discharged by

This liquid, thus projected into the tank in the form of streams and rays of water, is intended to dampen or eliminate the harsh contact of the laundry to be washed with the ribs or projections of the agitator and consequently to avoid premature wear of the laundry and deterioration of buttons.
In addition, the ribs or protrusions of the agitator could be provided less protruding because the liquid sprayed in the tank contributes approximately 40% to the agitation of the water and the laundry in the tank.
After washing, the liquid in the tank can be evacuated very easily by releasing the closure of the outlet pipe 14. Indeed, the li-
