<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

SUSPENSION DEVICE FOR CENTRIFUGAL AND MOUNTED WRINKERS
OF THIS DEVICE
The present invention relates to a suspension device for a wringer for domestic or industrial use of the known type comprising essentially, in a tank, a motor with a vertical axis, a laundry basket and a brake.
The purpose of the suspension device according to the invention is to ensure perfect balancing of the laundry basket, both vertically and horizontally.
For this purpose, it is made up of at least three springs called tension springs arranged horizontally, working under tension and fixed, on the one hand, to the internal wall of the tank and, on the other hand, to the upper part of the engine. with a vertical axis., and at least three springs called suspension springs arranged obliquely, working under tension and fixed, on the one hand, to the internal wall of the tank and, on the other hand, at points of the lower motor frame at the fixing points of the aforesaid tension springs
In a particularly interesting embodiment,
the so-called suspension springs are connected to the frame of the engine at points lower than a horizontal plane passing through the center of gravity of the assembly of said vertical axis engine.
According to one embodiment of the device according to the invention, the so-called tension springs and the so-called suspension springs are arranged in pairs, each located in a radial vertical plane ,,
The present invention also relates to a centrifugal wringer provided with the aforesaid suspension device.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of the suspension device, given below by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a schematic elevational view of a wringer provided with the device according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a schematic plan view of the vessel with the

same suspension device.
In both figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.
The wringer shown schematically in FIG. 1 essentially comprises the tank 1, the laundry basket 2, the motor 3 with vertical axis 4, a mechanical or electromagnetic brake normally being provided at the base of the axis 4, under engine 3
The tank 1 rests on the ground by means of any suction cups 5 without it being necessary to use dampers or similar systems, given the stability obtained by means of the device according to the invention.
Said device consists, in the case shown, of six tension springs 6 and six suspension springs 7. The tension springs 6 are fixed, on the one hand, to the upper flange 8 of the motor 3 with vertical axis and, d '' on the other hand, at points 10 of the internal wall of the tank the
The suspension springs 7 are fixed, on the one hand, to the lower flange 9 of the engine 3, ie under the center of gravity of the total mass of said engine, and, on the other hand, at the same points 10 as above.
The tension springs 6 and the suspension springs 7 are therefore arranged in pairs, each of these being in a radial vertical plane,
The tension springs 6 keep the engine at. center of wringer tank 1. On the other hand, they also help to overcome the inertia force at start-up.
By way of example, each of these tension springs can be made of wires, called piano strings, of 3 mm in diameter forming coils of 20 mm in internal diameter. Such springs 6 comprising, for example, 20 turns work under tension, the total tensile force requested from each spring being 18 kg / cm2 with an extension of 30 mm.
The suspension springs 7, attached to the lower flange 9 of the motor 3, support the motor equipped with its mechanical or electro-magnetic brake and its basket with the load of laundry to be wrung. These springs 7 help with the centering carried out by the springs 6 and ensure perfect stability for the load basket. They tend especially to correct the effects due to loading errors in the spin baskets which can contain, for example, five kg of wet laundry.
If this load is perfectly distributed and balanced, which obviously rarely happens, these suspension springs 7 act as stabilizers when the engine is started, while helping to keep the latter in the center of the tank and supporting the total load.
If, on the other hand, the load is badly distributed or badly balanced, the same springs 7 will above all have the task of eliminating the effects of centrifugal force, due to unbalances resulting from bad loading.
These springs 7 may be of the same type as the springs 6 but they will comprise, for example, 31 turns, the total force required being 14 kg / cm2 with an elongation of 20 mm.
It is obvious that the aforementioned figures are given purely by way of illustration.
It should be understood, moreover, that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above and that many modifications could be made to it without departing from the scope of the present patent application.
The number of springs is variable according to the loads to be supported.
Neither is it necessary to have the same number of tension springs as there are suspension springs, the number and force of these springs always being a function of the loads to be supported.
