Description

The present invention relates to an improvement made to pins used in the textile industry, in particular for twisting threads.

Twisting pins are devices which have been known for a very long time and consist essentially of a shaft (or spindle barrel) mounted to rotate freely on the frame of the machine by means of an appropriate bearing.

The tube around which the wire is wound is fitted onto the spindle barrel. The spindle barrel, and consequently the spool of wire, can be driven in rotation in different ways.

The most widespread solution consists in driving the spindles of the machine by means of an endless belt drive brought into tangential contact with the base of the spindle barrel.

In order to increase the production speeds and also to obtain windings of a high weight, it has been proposed for a very long time, in particular in the patent of the United States of America US-A-2274147, to drive the spindles individually by means of an electric motor.

The invention relates to an improvement made to such spindles driven by an individual motor.

One of the main problems in such individually driven spindles is that of increasing the height of the center of gravity of the spool and the spindle, given that the motor is arranged above of the lower bearing of the system supporting said spindle.

This increase in the height of the center of gravity therefore increases the risk of vibration and limits the speeds of use as well as the size of the wire windings.

The patent of the United States of America US-A-2274147 describes a solution which allows, to a certain extent, to solve the problem of vibrations. This solution consists, on the one hand, of mounting the barrel of the spindle in an oil bearing also making it possible to ensure lubrication and, on the other hand, of interposing between the frame of the machine and the crankcase of the engine. entrainment a layer of material which absorbs vibrations, for example a layer of cork or equivalent material.

Such an embodiment is however of a very complex design and above all does not solve the problem of lowering the center of gravity of the spindle / wire winding assembly towards the fixed frame of the machine, which limits therefore the operating speeds and the weight of the windings.

French patent FR-A-2,095,830 describes a solution allowing the height of the center of gravity of the coil and the motor to be reduced. This solution consists in the use of a small motor, especially in height, this motor being constituted by a bipolar electric motor, in particular an asynchronous motor, the stator of which is provided with a flat annular winding. If by the choice of such an engine, a lowering of the center of gravity is logically obtained, the latter always remains nevertheless clearly arranged above the support frame, taking into account the fact that this engine is always disposed above the bearing supporting the spindle, and therefore consequently above said support frame.

However, we have found and this is what is the subject of the present invention, a new type of spindle driven by an individual electric motor which overcomes the drawbacks of the previous spindles by the fact that the vibrations are effectively damped and that, moreover, the center of gravity of the spindle and of the winding which it supports is practically reduced to the level of the fixed frame of the machine supporting this said spindle.

In general, the invention therefore relates to a twisting spindle, driven by an individual electric motor, according to claim 1.

Preferably, according to the invention:
  • - the motor is a conventional asynchronous bipolar motor,
  • - the bearings guiding and supporting the spindle barrel are arranged on either side of the fixed frame of the machine,
  • - The elastic connection between the rigid flange and the frame is obtained by means of studs, for example made of elastomer, interposed between the upper flange and the support frame or on either side of the support frame.

The invention and the advantages which it brings will however be better understood thanks to the embodiment given below for information but not limitation and which is illustrated by the attached diagrams in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view showing in section a pin according to the invention,
  • FIG. 2 is a detailed view in section of such a pin,
  • - Figure 3 illustrates, in top view, an individual braking system associated with such a spindle.

Referring to the appended figures, FIG. 1 illustrates a textile machine comprising two twisting pins, designated by the general reference (1), in accordance with the invention.

Each of these twisting pins (1) is of the type driven by an individual electric motor (designated by the general reference 2) preferably a bipolar asynchronous motor supplied in a conventional manner (not shown) for example by an alternator.

Cette broche est constituée essentiellement par un fût (3) destiné à supporter l'enroulement de fil (4) (non représenté à la figure 1).This pin consists essentially by a barrel (3) intended to support the winding of wire (4) (not shown in Figure 1).

The barrel (3) is mounted to rotate freely on a support frame (6) constituted in this case by an inverted U-shaped profile, horizontal, attached to the carcass of the machine.

This spindle (1) is driven, as said above, by an individual motor (2), motor whose rotor (7) is fixed directly to the barrel (3) by means designated by the general reference (8) making it possible to secure the body (9) (and consequently the stator) of the motor (2).

According to the invention, the fixing of the body (9) of the motor (2) as well as the maintenance and the guiding of the spindle barrel, are carried out using securing means (8) and this, by the through a rigid sleeve (5) surrounding the barrel (3), this sleeve (5) passing through the frame (6) and serving as a cage for the bearings (10, 11) allowing the spindle (1) to rotate. The sleeve (5) has at its ends two flanges (12, 13), one (12) upper fixed elastically to the frame (6), the other (13) lower secured to the body (9) of the motor ( 2).

The means allowing the elastic fixing of the sleeve (5) advantageously consist of studs (14) based on elastomer, these studs (14), in an appropriate number, being in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1 , arranged between the upper flange (12) and the upper part of the frame (6) by means of fixing bolts whereas, in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2, these means are also constituted by studs (14) but which are arranged on either side of the upper part of the support frame (6), these studs being held by means of bolts (15).

Grâce à un tel mode de réalisation selon lequel le moteur (2) est disposé au bout du fût (3), la liaison de l'ensemble étant réalisée de manière élastique et le guidage du fût (3) par des paliers (roulements 10, 11) disposés de part et d'autre de la partie supérieure du bâti (6), il est possible d'avoir une répartition des masses de part et d'autre des points de fixation, et en conséquence, de ramener le centre de gravité de l'ensemble broche/moteur sensiblement au niveau du bâti (6).Thanks to such an embodiment according to which the motor (2) is disposed at the end of the barrel (3), the connection of the assembly being produced in an elastic manner and the guiding of the barrel (3) by bearings (bearings 10, 11) arranged on either side of the upper part of the frame (6), it is possible to have a distribution of the masses on either side of the fixing points, and consequently, to bring back the center of gravity of the spindle / motor assembly substantially at the level of the frame (6).

Such an embodiment makes it possible to practically completely limit the vibrations and consequently to use a motor having as small an air gap as possible, which can therefore have optimum efficiency.

Besides the fact that such a design makes it possible to eliminate vibrations thanks to the lowering of the center of gravity, and to the elastic mounting of the assembly on the support frame, it is also possible to obtain an individual stop of the pins. This can be obtained, as shown schematically in Figure 3, by associating with each spindle an individual incorporated braking system, which can be constituted for example by a jaw (16) acting on the barrel of the spindle. This jaw (16) can be actuated pneumatically or electrically by any known means which it is unnecessary to describe in detail.

Finally, this spindle also has the advantage of being very quiet and, by design, can be easily disassembled, which promotes maintenance.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but it also covers all the variants thereof, produced in the same spirit, within the framework of the claims.

Thus, if preferably used as elastic damping means of the individual studs distributed circumferentially around the barrel of the spindle, it could be envisaged to use one-piece studs in the form of a ring. It is obvious that such studs can be replaced by any equivalent means, for example elastic blade systems.
