Les figures 1 et 2 sont deux vues en perspective; La figure 3 est une coupe diamétrale de la capsule;

<EMI ID=3.1>
CAPSULE FOR TEMPORARY CAPSULE OF BOTTLES.
The mechanical capping of bottles by means of a cap provided with a collar fitting on a circular groove of the neck has the advantage of ensuring a good seal and of allowing rapid uncorking, but once the bottle uncorked, if the contents of the bottle are not consumed in their entirety one is obliged to seek to seal the bottle, a stopper fitting exactly on the neck and such a stopper is often difficult to find.
The invention proposes to avoid similar research and its object is a cap intended to temporarily stopper a bottle after removal of the flanged cap which provided the initial stopper.
The capsule according to the invention comprises a plate intended to be applied against the end of the neck and provided with several folded sides having a certain elasticity, these panels internally comprising projections capable of penetrating into the outer circular groove adjacent to the orifice of the neck.
In the accompanying drawings: Figures 1 to 4 relate to a first embodiment according to which two of the sides are longer than the others and allow easy action on the cap to separate it from the neck.
Figures 1 and 2 are two perspective views; Figure 3 is a diametral section of the capsule;
FIG. 4 is a partial section of the bottle provided with its cap.
Figures 5 to 9 relate to a second embodiment in which the sides of the capsule are surrounded by a ring which can slide along these sides to apply the internal projections thereof against the. outer groove of the neck.
Figure 5 is an elevational view of the capsule; Figure 6 is a section along VI-VI of Figure 5; Figure 7 is a plan view; Figure 8 is a bottom view with section along VIII-VIII of Figure 6; FIG. 9 is a partial vertical section of a bottle provided with a cap, the latter occupying the clamping position.
In the embodiment of Figures 1 to 4 the capsule comprises a plate 1 on the lower part of which is fixed a washer 2 of cork or other flexible material.

and 6 have internally arcuate ribs 3 ', 4' and 6 'capable of penetrating into the circular groove presented by the neck of any bottle intended to be normally stoppered by means of a flanged cap. Panel 5, on the contrary, is completely smooth on the inside.
The capsule and the sections which are integral with it can be made of metal, plastic or any suitable substance, the sections being sufficiently elastic to be applied around the periphery of the neck.
Sides 4 and 6 are extended by 4 "and 6" tabs
(intended to facilitate the removal of the capsule).
The cap fits on the bottle as shown in Figure 4 the internal ribs of the panels 3, 4 and 6 penetrate the circular groove 7 made in the neck 8 of the bottle.
When we remove the capsule, simultaneously press .on the tabs 4 "and 6" so as to rotate. capsule by lifting the panel 5, so that this capsule emerges from the groove 7 of the neck.
The device shown in Figure 5 to. 9 comprises a capsule formed of a plate 11 lined with a washer 12 of cork or other elastic material and forming part of panels 13, four in number in the example shown. Each of these panels internally has an arcuate rib 13 'intended to penetrate into the circular groove of the neck.

certain elasticity, they can be made of metal, plastic or any suitable substance.
Around the sides 13 is placed a flat ring 15 used to urge these sides inwards, in order to limit the displacement of the ring 15 upwards, the plate 11 has projections 16 acting as stops. The panels 13 are also angled outwards near
<EMI ID = 3.1>
placement of the ring 15 down.
To stopper a bottle having a circular groove 7 on the outside (FIG. 9) near its opening, the cap 11 is placed so that the cork washer rests on the end of the neck, the ring 15 being kept raised. Then the ring 15 is slid from top to bottom, which moves the branches 13 inwards and causes the internal ribs 13 'of these branches to penetrate into the circular groove 7 of the neck of the bottle 8 (fig. 9). .
The bottle is thus hermetically sealed.
-To release the cap, it suffices to slide the ring 15 upwards. The panels 13 then move away from the bottle due to their elasticity and the internal ribs 13 'release the groove 7 from the neck. The cap can then very easily be removed from the bottle.
It is understood that the invention is not limited to the two embodiments which have been given only by way of example and any modifications of execution can be made to them without departing from the scope of the invention.
