<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

GAS STOVE OVEN.
The present invention relates to ovens of gas cookers in which the combustion gases from the burners circulate from the bottom up around the oven chamber, then from top to bottom inside this chamber to leave the latter at the top. lower part. In existing ovens of this type, the gas outlet is provided at the rear of the chamber, so that the circulation of gases from top to bottom takes place mainly in the rear part of the chamber which, therefore, is heated more than its front part. The object of the invention is to remedy this drawback and to make the heating of the furnace chamber by the gases circulating inside the latter practically uniform.
To this end, according to the invention, the furnace chamber is provided, at the lower part, with several combustion gas outlets, at least one of which is located towards the front of the chamber and another towards the rear, in order to distribute the gases flowing from top to bottom in the chamber evenly
These combustion gas outlets are advantageously provided in the bottom of the furnace and open into a manifold passing under the bottom, from the front to the rear of the furnace. In one embodiment, the part of the sole which covers the collector is removable in the manner of a cover in order to give access to the collector to allow it to be easily cleaned.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a gas cooking oven according to the invention.
In this drawing
Figo 1 is a view of the furnace in cross section taken along line I-I of Figo 2, Figo 2 is a plan view, part in section taken along line II-II of Figo 1, and
Figo 3 a view in longitudinal section along the line III-III of Figo 1.
The gas oven shown in these figures comprises an outer casing 1 open at the bottom and closed at the top, in which two partitions
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
side 2 and a sole 3 surmounting a double gas burner 4, delimit a chamber 5 intended to receive the dishes to be cooked.
Under the floor 3 is provided a combustion gas collector 6, covered by a part 7 of the floor which has two openings 8, 9, one towards the front and the other towards the rear of the furnace.
The combustion gases from the burners 4 rise in the side passages 10 between the casing 1 and the partitions 2, bypass the top of the partitions and descend into the chamber 5 to reach the manifold 6 through the openings 8, 9. The arrangement of these at the front and at the rear of the furnace ensures that the combustion gases descending into chamber 5 are distributed there uniformly as indicated by the arrows in the drawing and, therefore , produce uniform heating of the oven.
Instead of two openings 8, 9 for the outlet of the combustion gases, it is obviously possible to provide a larger number. The part 7 of the sole which covers the collector 6 can be established in the form of a removable cover giving access to the collector, as shown in the drawing. In this case, the gas outlet openings are preferably provided in the cover of the manifold.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown by way of example, and it would not be departing from its scope to make modifications thereto.
CLAIMS. l.- Gas cooking oven with circulation of combustion gases from top to bottom in the oven chamber, characterized in that this chamber is provided at its lower part with several combustion gas outlets, of which at least one is located towards the front of the chamber and another towards the rear, in order to distribute the heat of the gases circulating there from top to bottom uniformly in the chamber.
