APPAREIL DE CHAUFFAGE AU MAZOUT . @
Dans le brevet belge n 4700576 du 16/1/1947 est décrit un ap- pareil de chauffage à combustible liquide, tel que : huiles lourdes, ma- zout, gasoils, huiles usagées etc, constitué essentiellement par une cu- vette annulaire métallique, ou exécutée en toute autre matière appropriéé, recevant, par gravité, le combustible et munie à sa partie inférieure d'u- ne ouverture permettant le contrôle de l'arrivée d'air et surmontée d'une masse conique en fonte ou autre destinée à diviser et à évaser la flamme dans le corps de l'appareilo Ce brûleur est, en outre, muni d'entrées d'air secondaire, disposées les unes, tangentiellement au fond de la cuvette et les autres, en couronne dans la partie.verticale de la cuvette ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

OIL HEATING APPLIANCE. @
In Belgian patent no. 4700576 of 16/1/1947, a liquid fuel heating appliance is described, such as: heavy oils, fuel oil, gas oils, used oils, etc., consisting essentially of a metal annular bowl, or made of any other suitable material, receiving, by gravity, the fuel and provided at its lower part with an opening allowing the control of the air intake and surmounted by a conical mass in cast iron or other intended for dividing and flaring the flame in the body of the appliance o This burner is, moreover, provided with secondary air inlets, one arranged tangentially to the bottom of the bowl and the other, in a crown in the vertical part. from the bowl;
In addition, a diffuser arranged perpendicular to the axis of the device forces the flame to follow a longer path and tends to move it away from the crown of secondary air inlet holes.
The present improvement lies in the admission into the burner of a determined and adjustable quantity of water which, on contact with the hot bowl, turns into vapor and enriches the vaporized fuel. A blower is connected to the air inlet, primary located at the bottom and in the center of the cuvette.
One embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, is shown in the accompanying drawings in which FIG. 1 is a vertical sectional view of the burner and FIG. 2 is a plan view thereof.
The annular cup 1 is provided, at its lower part, with a central opening 2 which controls the admission of primary air coming from the blower, not shown in the drawing.
A first secondary air inlet is operated tangentially to the bottom of the bowl 1, by three openings 3 made at 1200 from each other on the periphery of said bowl.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A second secondary air inlet is formed by a ring of 4 holes drilled in the cylindrical vertical part of the cuvet- teo
A diffuser 5, in the form of a serrated or smooth crown, is arranged perpendicular to the axis of the device and forces the flame to bend and to move away from the air inlets 40
The liquid fuel, stored in a tank, not shown, and placed outside the heater arrives by simple gravity, through three nozzles 6 arranged at 120 from each other at the bottom of the heater. In the bowl 1, the fuel flow is regulated by means of a needle valve installed in the supply pipe and not shown in the drawing.
The introduction of water into the burner takes place in an identical manner to that of the fuel, i.e. the water stored in a separate tank (also not shown in the drawing) flows through simple gravity in the bottom of the burner by means of three nozzles 8, also disposed at 120 from each other and in an alternating manner with the fuel nozzles 6. The water flow rate is adjusted in the same way as for the fuel.
A fungus of the inverted cone 7, made for example of cast iron, is placed in the center of the bottom of the bowl 1, above the primary air inlet and aims to promote a) the vaporization of the fuel b) the mixing of gases and combustion air c) combustion.
It is obvious that other air, fuel and water supply arrangements can be made without departing from the scope and scope of the present improvement.
