La présente invention est relative à des perfectionne- ments apportés à l'invention décrite dans mon brevet principal du 1er Avril 1949.
Suivant ce brevet principal, on comprime fortement dans des moules de la chènevotte que l'on fait chauffer, de préférence dans les moules.
Il a été maintenant trouvé qu'en traitant de la même façon que la chènevotte, soit des copeaux de pellicules en cellulose régénérée ("Cellophane"), soit un mélange de chènevotte et de copeaux de pellicules en cellulose régénérée, c'est-à-dire en les comprimant fortement dans des moules de forme quelconque, et en les chauffant, de préférence dans les moules et à une température entre environ 200 et env&ron 300 C, on obtint une masse homogène, dont le pouvoir isolant égale celui du liège.
Les pièces moulées en copeaux de pellicules de cellulose régénérée ou en mélange de copeaux de pellicules de cellulose régénérée et chènevotte, peuvent être enduites d'un vernis isolant, pour contrevenir à l'absorption de l'humidité.
On peut également comprimer dans les moules une couche de chènevotte étendue entre deux couches de pellicule "Cellophane".
