Brevet d'invention.

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Patent. Footwear and method of mounting the same.
The invention relates to a shoe obtained by a particular fitting method.
There are known shoes comprising an upper mounted on an insole, with an outsole and, usually, a midsole between the insole and the outsole and in which, on the periphery of the boot, a bead is provided. hiding and protecting the joint or seam between the rod and the first.
In known cuff shoes of this kind, this joint or seam is made horizontally, that is to say parallel to the plane of the first, so that the fitting of these shoes requires that the rear part of the upper and the front end of the latter are very flexible, so as to be able to be flattened and pressed against the inside face of the first to allow stitching by hand or by machine, in said horizontal direction.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This results in the Impossibility: Provide a buttress or

In addition, the dti: 1, SS, ëJlil- lage or monism mode with bead assembled by cutting or horizontal jointing, presents a serious drawback due to the fact that this

the bead may cover a heel on which the actual sole or outsole is applied, in a stepped manner.
Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the accompanying drawings which represent, by way of example only, one embodiment of the invention.
In the various figures, the same elements are designated by the same reference numerals.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a completed shoe according to the invention.
Figs. 2 and 3 schematically show the assembly method and FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the first after preliminary assembly, before fitting the sole itself.
Fig. 1 is shown in perspective, a lady's walking shoe with a so-called projecting sole. It consists of a rod or rear part 2 and a front end or vamp 3 bearing decorative patterns.
The protruding sole 4, made of leather, rubber or the like, is surmounted by a bead 5 produced and fitted as explained below.
In Fig. 2, there is schematically shown, in section, the assembly of the essential parts of this beaded shoe. It consists of a rod 2, a strip of leather or similar material 6 intended to form a bead and a first 7.
These three elements are assembled by the so-called "Kneipp" assembly method which consists of stitching or stapling along the vertical axis lines 8, FIG. 2, so that the stitches or staples are visible at 9 (Fig. 4) when looking at the first from below.
Then, the free end of the strip 6 is folded back
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
bead, below the, first 7, as shown schematically in FIG. 3, after which there is applied, in a known manner, an actual sole 10 with the possible intercalation of an intermediate sole 11. In this way, a shoe is obtained in which it is possible to place a buttress at 12. (Fig. 1) to reinforce the. point a.forward or vamp 3, given the method of fitting parts 6-2-7.
This shoe exhibits a longer resistance to. wear and offers the possibility of easy repairs.
If desired, at the rear, the leather strip or the like forming a bead 5, may be of a greater height than the similar strip at the front, so that it can cover a heel 13 (Fig. 1). ) on which the sole 10 is stepped, as shown at 14.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the example described and shown and that many modifications can be made to the. shape, nature, number and kind of elements involved in its. achievement without for that. go beyond the scope of the invention.
Summary.
The invention relates to a shoe and a method of fitting the latter.
