<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Oil burner leaving residue.
In general, the burners used for the combustion of oils leaving residues have a disadvantage: after a certain time, unburned fuel settles on some parts of the burner, it is therefore necessary to stop the burner to remove these deposits. This obviously constitutes a serious drawback for the user.
The present invention provides means of overcoming this drawback.
The burner according to the invention, used for burning oils leaving residues, comprises a member provided with chambers which is located partially in the primary air supply duct; in these chambers, this organ receives oil and it rotates during the operation of the burner in a continuous or periodic manner. The other part

of this organ is outside the pipe and is carried there,

The rotary organ used can take various shapes.
L-3 Applicant preferably uses a cylindrical organism at 1 ^ p / riphr'rÜ from which the fuel chambers open.

The description of the appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear how the invention can be achieved the particularities which emerge both from the bare text of the drawing which of course forms part of said invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The figure shows a section of the burner according to the invention.
The primary air supply line is indicated by 1. In the case 2 of the burner opens, above the component to be described 3, the fuel supply line 4. The rotating component 3 rotates, on the horizontal shaft 5., Around the ejector 6 unblock secondary air duct 7.
On its cylindrical periphery, the rotary member 3 comprises the outlets of a certain number of chambers 8, constituted by cups and shown in dotted lines. In front of a part of the periphery of the organ 3 are the cylindrical screens 9 and 10.
The liquid fuel drops dropwise from the ejector 4 into the burner box 2 and moves there in the opposite direction from the primary air supplied through line 1. This primary air can be preheated. A. part of the liquid fuel, evaporates, is entrained by the primary air in the direction of the arrow, thus reaches the ejector 6 of the burner, is mixed with the secondary air flowing through the pipe, 6 ,, and provides the flame 11 ', shown schematically' in the drawing, The greater part of the fuel 'enters the chambers 8 that the rotary member 3 comprises and vaporizes there under the effect of the high temperature. where this organ is located.
This member is in fact heated 4 outside the tank (as shown in the figure, this heating is provided by the flame 11. The gases which form in the chambers 8 are also entrained by the primary air and burn off. on leaving the ejector 6. However, in the chambers 8, a residue of unburnt fuel may form which, in the burners of usual execution, causes difficulties. As the member 3 turns in the direction of the arrow A; as soon as they have passed the screen 10, these chambers pass successively into the flame 11. As a result of the very high temperature of the flame, these residues burn; and when they
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
have passed screen 9, rooms 8 are clean again.
The member 3 can be driven by an electric motor, but also by an air flow. In the latter case, the shaft of member 3 can be coupled by means of a gear transmission, to a bladed wheel. The organ can also be driven in another way: the deposit of unburned fuel residues in the chambers 8 which are located in the primary air duct causes an imbalance of the organ 3, and this rotates slowly in the direction of arrow A.
