Removable folding armchair.
The invneiton relates to a folding armchair that can be dismantled and transported in compact form and which, when assembled ready for use, is in the form of an armchair of the so-called "transatlantic" type. comprising a frame adjustable in inclination and supporting a canvas or canvas forming a backrest.
According to the present invention, the chair comprises a preferably metallic frame, consisting of two sets of side linkages, of variable inclination and assembled, removably, by transverse rods supporting the canvas or canvas forming a backrest and possibly a seat.
According to a feature of 1'invention, each set of side-adjustment-adjustment comprises an upright taking support on a diagonal rod, by means of an articulation, and a push rod also taking support on this diagonal rod, by an articulation - -tion and which is connected to the upright, by a collar or an adjustable position slide on the upright, so as to allow the inclination of the upright relative to said diagonal rod to be modified.
According to another particular features of the invention, the sets of lateral linkages and the assembly rods preferably consist of tubular metal elements.
According to yet another feature of the invention, the upper end of the two diagonal rods and the upper end of two counter-diagonals supporting the said diagonal rods, are connected by transverse rods forming the seat frame.

or pivot and a collar or slide 2, provided with a butterfly strige screw or the like.
It is understood that when the collar 2 is moved on the upright 2, the inclination of this upright is modified. The same set of lateral linkages, right, also includes an upright 2, a diagonal rod and a pushrod 8, as well as of other assembly elements, 'identical to those on the left.
The sets of left and right side rods are assembled by transverse rods. At their upper part, the uprights 2 are joined by a transverse tubular rod 10, assembled by screwing to collars 11 provided with tabs and mounted on the upper ends of said uprights 2, At the middle part of the uprights 2, the clamping screws collars are used simultaneously for -said tightening and assembly of the left and right collars, by a transverse rod 12. Details of these assemblies are shown in Figures 5 to 8, described below.
The upper ends of the diagonal rods 3 are connected by a transverse rod 13 and the rods 3 are pivotally supported by counter-diagonals 14 resting on the ground and the upper ends of which are joined by a transverse rod 15.
The spacing of the rods or tubes 13 and 15 is limited by a canvas or canvas 16 mounted on these rods and constituting the seat of the chair, The rods 13 and 15 are removable, for example by being mounted in buttonholes or by being assembled by screws butterfly or the like.
At the upper ends of the counter-diagonals 14 are mounted flanges 17 provided with buttonholes 18 in which are mounted, in a removable manner, the ends of a transverse rod 19. A canvas or canvas 20 forming a backrest is threaded at its two ends, on the one hand on the rod 19 and, on the other hand, on the rod 12 and this canvas passes from the front to the rear, on the 'rod upper '10, on which it slides freely. It will be understood that when the uprights 2 are inclined further, by raising the collars 9 and the rod
12, the distance between the end 19 of the canvas and the rod 10 increases,
but this increase is compensated by the bringing together of the rods 10 and 12 and the canvas 20 slides freely on the rod 10 at each displacement of the collars 9. The chair described can be dismantled by removing the transverse rods 10, 12, 19 , 15 @ 13

On the non- -tant 2 is fixed a head 31. 9 having a cup 32 and in laquele head is mounted a threaded rod 34 provided with ' a knurled wheel 33 and angularly movable in this head, while due to the longi -tudinaux displacements of the screw are prevented by a.
stop disc 35 The transverse tube 10 comprises an internal disc 36, provided with a threaded orifice 32. and angularly wedged in the tube 10, by a screw or wedge By screwing the rod 34 into the orifice 37, the upright 2 is assembled to the tube 10 and the latter comes to rest in the bowl 32.
FIG. 7 shows one way of assembling the collar .2. with the transverse rod 12 (Figures 1 to 3). The collar 9 can slide on the upright 2, embraces between its legs 39 the end of the stroller 8, extended for this purpose by a flat. In the lugs 39 and through this flat, is mounted a butterfly screw 40 which can freely rotate but whose longitudinal movements are prevented. The transverse rod 12 comprises, as in the case of Figure 6, an internal disc.
-rieur tapped 41 and intended to be screwed onto screw 40. When the tube 12 is thus screwed onto the screw 40, its end 42 abuts against: the tab 32. (on the left in FIG. 7) and bears around a bearing surface surrounding the screw 40 and limiting longitudinal movements.
By continuing the screwing, one causes a. approximation of the two tabs 39. and the clamping of the collar 2 on the upright 2 at the desired location to ensure the desired inclination of this upright. Figure 8 is a variant of the assembly mode of Figure 7. A knurled roller 43 is wedged on the end of a nozzle 44, mounted for free rotation in the tabs of the collar On the side opposite to the roller 43. the nozzle -5-
