<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>

<EMI ID=7.1>
APPARATUS FOR DIRECTING THE RETURN OF LAMINATED SHEETS FROM ABOVE
<EMI ID = 1.1>
The invention relates to an apparatus for directing the return of the rolled sheets from above the upper cylinder of the sheets.

the sheets, after they have passed between the rolls driven in an invariable direction of rotation, in front of the rolls in the position required for the execution of the next pass. But they have not been introduced in practice on an appreciable scale * owing to their relatively complicated construction; thus it has been proposed, for example, to run
partially the sheets on a drum using a band embracing the latter to direct them towards the top of the upper cylinder.
The invention constitutes a simplification of this mode of construction while also ensuring the monitoring of the guidance operations; it is characterized by the use of a circular guide member arranged in a plan.vertical and very close to the cylinders on the outlet side; along this body, the sheets are directed towards the upper cylinder, the outgoing sheet pushing forward the previous sheet, whose rear end was held in the circular guide member, to put it within reach of the worker who is standing found in front of the cylinders.
Guide arms or guide rollers are also provided above the upper cylinder, which serve as supports for the sheets
<EMI ID = 4.1>
dage is to force the sheet to take, along its length, the required position to be pushed by the next sheet.
The appended drawing shows by way of example one embodiment of the invention:
Fig.l is a perspective view of. the device. Figs. 2 and 3 each give a side view thereof, respectively.
1 and 2 designate the lower roll and the upper roll of a duo stand On the rolled product outlet side (the
sheets indicated in the figures are designated by 3 and 4) is
arranged a circular guide member formed by a bracket 5,
the outer edge of which is directed towards the space above
of the upper cylinder. A support bar 6, which is usefully adjustable in height, is provided according to Fig.l, with guide arms 7, which in Fig.2 and 3 carry, like also the bracket 5, rollers
<EMI ID = 5.1>
The working mode of the device is as follows:
The sheets leaving the cylinders are directed circularly upwards in the circular guide 5, their anterior end, after leaving the guide member, moves.
<EMI ID = 6.1>
approximately the position of the sheet 3 shown in Fig.2. The next sheet 4 abuts by its front edge against the lower edge of the sheet 3 and pushes the latter forward in
<EMI ID = 7.1>
so that the laminator worker can drop by hand the
sheet onto the advancement table designated by 10 and bring it to
position for the next pass.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment shown. Thus, for example, it may be recommended to provide several circular guide brackets instead of just one. Even if the invention will be used in the first place for cages rolling mill working with aluminum, the use of the new diverter device for rolling non-ferrous metal sheets also
although iron and steel sheets also come within the scope of the invention. The purpose of this is in a very
generally a deflection device for sheets, which works so that the outgoing sheet presses the previous sheet
to pass it over the upper cylinder.
