<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
Encore selon l'invention les rampes de chauffage peu- vent être constituées, soit par de simples tubes 40, dans lesquels des traits de scie 41 auraient été pratiqués pour constituer les orifices d'échappement du mélange combustible, et com- portant sur leur face opposée à celle pourvue de traits de scie, une nervure 42 appropriée, destinée à s'opposer à toute déformation longitudinale desdites rampes ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>

Improvements made to heating and cooking appliances.
The invention relates to heating and cooking appliances, and in particular to stoves or cookers *
The improvements which are the subject of this invention relate to various parts of the apparatus in question, but they have all been designed and studied with a view to allowing the production of heating and cooking apparatus, the use of which is either very easy and safe, and has real advantages over devices of the kind in question, designed so far, while being very economical in fuel.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
It therefore follows from the foregoing that, preferably, all the improvements described more particularly below, should be applied jointly, so that their assembly and their cooperation make it possible to obtain the optimum result which is desired. 'is proposed to obtain; but, of course, the separate use of any of said improvements, or only some of them, in combination, is within the scope of the present invention.
The doors *: ovens of the stoves or cookers established until now were mounted on the said apparatus using hinges or joints only allowing to pivot either around a vertical axis or around an axis horizontal. To examine or handle a baking dish in an oven fitted with such a door, it was necessary to open the door fully and remove the dish (with or without a support plate), even while holding it hot.
To overcome these various drawbacks, the invention consists in establishing the oven doors and mounting them on the heating and cooking appliances in such a way that they move like a drawer, in constituting the control devices. assembly and support of said doors on said appliances by telescopic systems each capable of a development equivalent to the depth of the oven and, on the one hand, fixed to the door and on the other hand, sliding in kinds of guides tubulars integral with said heating and cooking appliances,
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
in providing, in order to make the examination and handling of dishes easier, the% bears of said heating appliances, with movable supports of adjustable height,
and controls from the outside, to be provided, in order to eliminate the need to open the oven to turn a roast, cooked on a spit, said door with an opening of suitable diameter in which a flexible slide slides that 1 ton can be joined at will with the spit, from the outside, and thus allow the roast to occupy the position that suits it.
The invention also consists, with the aim of making it possible more particularly to establish appliances for heating and cooking with gaseous fuels having a higher thermal efficiency. to, have each of the ovens included in the said devices in question include a reflector of general parabolic shape, the heating ramp (s) being disposed substantially at the focal point, or at the line of focal points, of said reflector, to be constituted the heating ramps by a perforated tube on which is mounted and fixed a stack of washers of generally concave shape comprising a flat on their periphery, and whose concavities are opposed in pairs, said flats facing each other, tight stacking and maintained by any suitable system ensuring at the same time the tightness of the tube at one of its ends.
to constitute the tubular heating ramps, by tubes, reinforced by rib, or braced on the opposite side, to the exhaust ports which are formed by simple saw cuts, made
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
transversely, to establish the burners, which said heating and cooking appliances comprise, in the form of a venturi diffuser, the outlet cone of which would have a star section, the exhaust ports being formed by slits made in the base of said cone which is solid, in placing said burners thus established inside a cone serving as a reflector and suitably directing the convection currents.
in constituting the control devices for the flow rate and the proportions of the combustible mixture by kinds of double-adjustment valves the outlet nozzle of which is removable and calculated so as to be adapted to the combustion apparatus used.
The invention may be clearly understood with the aid of the additional description which follows and the appended drawing, which supplement and drawing are given only by way of indication.

A gas stove produced according to the invention and comprising the application of the improvements which are the subject of
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
of the invention is presented, for example, as shown in the accompanying drawing, that is to say in the following way, or in a substantially analogous way, and comprises generally like ordinary gas stoves , a body made of any suitable material and comprising, uprights, plate, oven door, distribution ramp, heating ramps, burners. and all ordinary accessories.
And according to the invention, the door 1 of the oven is mounted on the body of the appliance so as to slide so that it moves relative to the front in the manner of a cabinet drawer or file, that is to say that it is fixed by any suitable means, screwing or riveting, on the curved ends of two squares, two rods 2, which slide in two tubes 3 , slightly shorter, which tubes 3 in turn slide in kinds of cylindrical guides 4, fixed on the side walls 5 of the lathe, each rod 8 is integral at its free end with the end of a chain 6 of suitable length which is itself fixed by its other end to the kind of collar or stopper which the tube 3 carries at its rear part.
As can easily be seen when the door 1 is closed, that is to say pressed against the facade 8 of the oven, (figure 8), the rods 8 have entered the tubes 3, and the latter have been pushed back into the direction of the bottom of the oven, a stop 9, fixed during assembly on said tubes 3 limiting this movement and preventing them from coming out] * of the slides 4 ..
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
When the door 1 is open, FIG. 4, the tubes 3 abut by their stop 7 on the rear edge of the slides 4, and the rods 8 have their movement limited by the chain 6.
According to the invention, also, on said door 1 is fixed, by any suitable means, and held very rigidly, a sort of platform 10 in any suitable material, sheet metal for example, and to this platform 10 a flat-lifter device, consisting of a kind of mobile support 11, which is made integral with the platform 10 is understood as follows:
the platform 10 has its two lateral sides turned square and on these two sides are fixed two rods 12, the support 11 also has its two lateral sides turned square which carry dettx rods 13, on the rods 12 and 13 are mounted, so as to be able to slide along said rods 12 and 13, two assemblies of two crossed rods 14 and 15, each articulated at one of their ends, on a kind of slider 16 moving on one of the rods 12, and at the other of their ends on a kind of slide 17 moving on one of the rods 13,
the two connecting rods 14 and 15 of each of the two assemblies of connecting rods are articulated in their middle one on the other by a kind of axis 18 moving in a vertical slide 19 fixed to the platform 10,
A kind of crankshaft 20 which is articulated on the one hand in a kind of support 21 carried by the platform 10 and on the other hand in a kind of bearing 22 carried by the door 1, little% -be maneuvered at the using a handle 23 which is made integral with it, and acts through
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
rods 24, fixed on the sides turned square of the support 11, on said support 11,
and thus makes it possible to occupy said support different more or less high positions with respect to the platform 10, the vertical slides 19 in which the axes 18 move, maintaining the connecting rods 14 and 15. The handle 23 which is mounted on the crankshaft 19 in the ordinary manner, elastically longitudinally, thanks to spring washers 25 is provided on its edge which presses against the door 1 with ridges which can engage with similar ridges carried by the part 26 of the door , and is therefore maintained when we stop acting on it, in the position it occupies.
Still with the aim of making the use of such a stove very easy, the roasting pan 27, which it is made to include as an accessory, is established in the form of a box as shown in FIG. 15 and comprises on each of its front and rear sides, a support 28, intended to hold a pin 29. The support fixed to the front side comprising a lug 30 and according to the invention said pin 29 can be made integral at will, of a kind of flexible 31, passing through the door through an appropriate opening and being made integral with said door 1 by the intermediary of a kind of ball joint formed by the ball 32 clamped by the part 33.
The flexible 31 carries at one of its ends a soft button 34, and at the other of its ends a sort of washer 35 pierced with holes 36.
The roast being threaded onto the spindle 29, and the latter being made integral with the. flexible it is advisable to realize that when the washer 35 is released from
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
pin 30, it is possible without opening the oven, to turn the roast as appropriate, and that in order to maintain said roast in a given position, it is sufficient to secure the spit of the roasting tin by housing the pin 30 in one of the holes 36 of the washer 35.
Still according to the invention, also, but with the aim of obtaining a stove having a better thermal efficiency, a reflector 37 in the form of a gutter but with parabolic curvature (FIG. 13) and such that the spokes are made to include in said stove. heat coming from a heat source placed substantially at the focal point or along the line of the focal points, are directed vertically from top to bottom, reflector which may consist either of a rolled sheet, or of a cast or stamped part, or else refractory earth or carborundum or any other suitable material The heating ramp 38 is then arranged along the line of the foci of the parabolic reflector,
the hot gases coming from the combustion escape from the bottom on each side of said reflector 37 then run alongside this reflector and escape through orifices 39 provided for this purpose.
The reflector 37 can also be constituted by reflector elements with parabolic curvature (FIG. 14) the exhaust of the brais and hot gases is then accelerated.
Again according to the invention, the heating ramps can be constituted either by simple tubes 40, in which saw cuts 41 would have been made to constitute the orifices for escaping the combustible mixture, and comprising on their face opposite to that provided with saw cuts, a suitable rib 42, intended to oppose any longitudinal deformation of said ramps;
<Desc / Clms Page number 10>
or not a tube 43 perforated with holes 44 and on which are clamped concave washers 45 arranged in such a way that their concavity supposes two by two, a blind nut 46 ensure at the same time as the tightening of said washers 45 the tightness of said tube 43.
These washers 45 each have on their periphery and on the side of their concavity a small flat 47, and the mounting of these washers 45 is made such that the flat 47 are opposed two by two and thus create exhaust openings of the combustible mixture. Depending on the importance of these flats, the exhaust of the combustible mixture is more or less important, it can be easily adjusted.
Still with the aim of reducing consumption and increasing efficiency, according to the invention the burners which are made to include said stove are constituted by a eorte of divergent convergent nozzle 48 (FIGS. 11 and 1a) arranged so that its axis is vertical and that at its base opens the inlet 49 of the fuel gas. The divergent part of said nozzle is established and shaped so as to present a star section.
The upper edge of said nozzle 48 is closed and simple lines of silk 50 made radially serve to escape the combustible mixture.
A reflector 51 of generally conical shape is placed at the base of the burner and directs the convection currents upwards, avoiding eddies and cooling of the hot gases.
Also advantageously, the devices for adjusting the fuel gas inlet and the proportions of the fuel mixture * are constituted by double-valve valves.
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
slip 52 comprising according to the invention, an outlet nozzle 53, which is screwed and easily removable, and more strictly calibrated. It is therefore possible with identical taps to equip manifold or burner distributions, having very different flow rates, by only adopting at each tap a calibrated outlet nozzle, adapted to the maximum gas flow rate. control.
Advantageously, as shown in phantom lines in Figures 5 and 6 of the drawing, a kind of turntable is placed on the support 11 which makes it possible to more easily rotate the objects placed on this support *
As goes without saying, the invention is in no way limited to the mode of application or to that of its more particularly indicated embodiments; on the contrary, it embraces all the variants thereof.
