Il est connu de ménager dans le couvercle de foyer,de cuisiniè- re, etc, des ouvertures destinées à amener de l'air additionnel vers la surface de combustion ou vers le tirage de la cheminée.La présen- te invention a pour objet un couvercle de ce genre où la section de ces entrées d'air peut varier grâce à un dispositif approprié de ré- glage.On obtiendra ainsi une intensité de combustion s'appliquant parfaitement à tous les désiderata d'une conduite économique du foyer,
Le dessin annexé à ce mémoire montre,à titre exemplatif,un mode, de réalisation du couvercle perfectionné, cans lequel les ouvertures d'air sont réglées par une bague mobile percée également d'ouvertures.
Fig.I est une vue en plan du couvercle muni de sa bague de ré- glage.Fig.2 est une coupe suivant A-B.
Oomme le montre le dessin,le couvercle I possède deux rangées d'ouvertures 2 et 3,pratiquées de part et d'autre d'une nervure 4 faisant saillie sur sa face intérieure.Les ouvertures 2 sont desti- nées à permettre l'entrée d'air frais en direction du foyer,tandis que les ouvertures 3 débouchant au-delà de la nervure 4 permettent le passage d'air frais qui' sera directement aspiré par le tirage de la cheminée et par suite diminuera l'action de celui-ci sur le foyer,
Les deux rangées d'ouvertures 2,3 peuvent être réglées par une

bague 5,avantageusement disposée dans une rainure 6 pratiquée dans le couvercle,de manière à ne pas dépasser le niveau supérieur de ce dernier,Cette bague présente également des ouvertures 2' et 3'.
Les ouvertures percées dans le oouvercle I et dans la bague 5 peuvent être de forme quelconque appropriée;dans l'exemple choi- si on leur a donné une forme ovale allongée.Ces ouvertures sont disposées l'une par rapport à l'autre de tell-(, manière,qu'en fai- sant tourner la bague 5,celle-ci pourra recouvrir totalement ou partiellement,simultanément ou séparément,les ouvertures 2 et 3 du couvercle I. On pourra ainsi faire varier la section des ouver- tures 2,3 dans des limites très étendues,qui assureront toujours la plus grande économie possible de combustible.
L'invention n'est pas limitée au mode de réalisation repré- senté.on pourrait ainsi utiliser aussi deux bagues de réglage con- centriques,l'une pour les ouvertures 2 et l'autre pour les ouver- tures 3,On pourra ainsi régler les deux séries de trous séparément.
On pourrait encore faire correspondre les deux séries de trous avec un collecteur distinct d'ouverture réglable.
