<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Cabin for industrial automobiles".
The present invention relates to a cabin for industrial automobiles, particularly characterized by the fact that it is produced by a combination of stamped sheets, excluding any support made of wood or other materials generally used, these different sheets being rigidly joined together. to the other by welding.
The cabin is therefore made only on stamped sheets $ without any profile, wood or metal, all forming a perfectly rigid, indestructible whole, indestructible by trucks
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
industrial trucks for example.
It is in fact known that, in the general construction of cabins for industrial automobiles, use is made of a combination of wooden elements and metal elements, joined by fastening and fixing elements, such for example bolts. , rivets and others.
On the various existing devices, that of the present invention offers numerous advantages from the point of view of manufacture, of the homogeneity of the assembly, of the solidity and of guarantees against the possible actions of fire.
The device is illustrated in the accompanying figures in which:
Fig.l is a front view of the cabin.
Fig.2 is a side view.
Fig. 3 is a rear view.
Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of fig.2.
Fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of fig.2.
Fig.6 is a section along the line VI-VI of Fig.2.
Fig. 7 is a partial vertical section through the door showing the window in the low position.
Fig. 8 is a partial front view of FIG. 7.
From these different figures it follows that the cabin for industrial automobiles, forming the subject of the present invention, comprises substantially in combination, different main words, such as the two sides, the rear part, the front part and the roof, rigidly. joined together by welding.
The juxtaposed edges of the various constituent parts of the cabin are duly profiled so as to present sufficient contact surfaces and to stiffen the various sheet surfaces as much as possible. For example, the two side faces
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of the cabin are formed by a sheet 1, profiled along a mixed line, the upper rectilinear part and the lower part, limited by a curve, continue, slightly re-entrant.
In the junction zone of the rectilinear and curved parts of this sheet, the latter has a boss 2 extending over the entire perimeter of the cabin and constitutes a rib which increases the rigidity of the assembly. This bump 2 has its convexity towards the outside.
These two sides have a cut-out area extending approximately over their entire height so that the remaining plain part takes the form of a frame intended for housing the doors 4 These include, in the usual way, a flat upper part and a curved lower part following the aforementioned shape of the lateral dimensions. These two parts are also separated by the aforementioned boss 2.
These doors 4 are formed by the juxtaposition of the vials 3, 4,5 and .9. forming. respectively the outer incoming part of the door, the two sheets limiting the pan of the ice and the upper closing strip of the door. The sheets 4 and 5 delimiting the pan of the ice are separated by a space allowing the sliding of the-. Said ice 7, the crane can be actuated by the intervention of a button 8, rigidly fixed to the lower support 9 of the ice. This is trapped around its perimeter in a felt seal, which thus simultaneously forms a fixing and cushioning element,
Above, the sheets 3 and 4 are extended so as to present a stop limiting the closed position of the door.
Indeed, the outer sheet 3 is folded in an inverted / u shape, the laduelle traps the upper edge of said sheet 4. A hardwood piece is trapped in the housing between the upper part of the sheets 4 and 5

/ and the cover strip 6. In this wood are housed one or more rubber pads 10, rigidly fixed or movable and serving as a gasket and / or noise damper between the door and the upper part of the frame. rubber are, for example, formed by small cylinders of diameter

The button 8 is extended by a cylindrical rod 11 engaged in the extension of the support element 9 of the mirror and capable of moving in a reciprocating longitudinal movement while being guided in a groove 12, provided in the interior wall. 5 from the door. previously the sheets .2 and 5 are joined together by interlocking the last in the folded edge of the first. These juxtaposed parts are extended below, thus forming the lower stop element of the door.
The door is compiled by the hinge, closing, and handle devices, such as are generally employed in doors of the genre.
The rear part of the cabin is formed by a curved sheet 13, having an upper rectilinear part corresponding to the rectilinear part of the doors and lower profiled along a curved part which is also reentrant.
These two parts are separated by the same boss 2.
In the upper part of this sheet is cut a hole 14 for housing a mirror. This ice rests in a pan arranged on the edges of said opening 14 and rigidly fixed there by flexible rubber tabs. The pan lining the edges of said day 14 is constituted, for example, by a suitably profiled metal strip, so as to be able to be fixed to the sheet 13 and present said pan in the form of a u.
Above, the cabin is covered by a sheet 15 forming the roof; it is profiled so as to present
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
on all four edges a folded part. Below, these folded parts are made in such a way that the four sides of the roof are extended by rounded z6nes. stinated to be connected to the corresponding upper edge of the other sides of the cabin to the exclusion of the front part, which is arranged in door-to-beam on the cabin.
The lower edge of the rounded parts is folded inwards so as to present a stiffness element which also offers the advantage of acting as the upper side of the frame of the aforementioned door. Laterally, the rounded parts of the roof 15 are fitted with a slot 17 placed opposite the upper edge of the doors 4, and thus form a protective device for the upper part / Said doors and this by placing them in place. shelter from the flow of water received by the roof 15.
This ohêneau 17 is of such a length that it is extended on either side of the door frame and is slightly folded at the rear end so as to direct the water towards the latter and thus produce a drain. normal flow of said water to the rear part of the cabin, which is moreover rational considering the direction of travel of the vehicle.
At the front, the cabin ends with a frame 18 fitted with panes, intended to house the windshield,
The different sheets used in the construction of the preoed elements are joined to each other by strong electrical welding or other, so as to make the whole perfectly homogeneous. This welding can be carried out over the entire extent of the surfaces in contact or by points of force combined with filling means or in any other known way,
It is understood that the device, which is the object of the invention, may be subjected to any variant form or even
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
That the different element. of the cabin could be simplified or complicated or even excluded,
for example; the cabin may be fitted with all the elements generally used in the art of the automobile, the cabin may have only one door, the mirrors may be partially fixed, etc. etc.
