<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Dans le dessin annexé qui représente des exemples de réalisation de l'objet de l'invention ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Fig. 2 est une variante. de Fige 1.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
poudre.
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

B R E V E T OF INVENTION Device for the dusting of palverulent material or for the distribution by spraying, or otherwise, of liquid.
Oette invention relates to a device for dusting powder material or for distributing
EMI1.1
by sprinkling, or otherwise, of liqndeo
It has already been proposed to use, for the table, sprinklers generally comprising a body or container, topped with a perforated cap, which must be turned upside down for use, to let escape through the perforations of the cover.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
cover the powdery material it contains.
These devices, which must be reversed for their use, also have the disadvantage that, the perforations of the cover, being constantly free, allow, at any time, while the sprinkler is not in use, to penetrate inside the container, of dust, liquid droplets, which on the one hand contaminate the contents of the sprinkler, and on the other hand easily cause an agglomeration of the pulverulent material, which can then only be removed from the container with a certain difficulty.
The device according to the invention which overcomes these drawbacks comprises a hollow body of suitable shape, cylindrical, prismatic, ovoid or other, provided with an axial chimney or not, exceeding the level of the pulverulent material contained. in this receptacle, said receptacle being provided with a cover, the interior surface of which preferably has the shape of a surface of revolution, ovoid or otherwise, the axis of which coincides with the orifice of the chimney, in order to thus determine, under the effect of vertical jolts printed, without overturning, on the suitably loaded container, causing the impact of said pulverulent material on the inner surface of the cover, the return, in the axial direction of this pulverulent material,
which falls into the chimney, to be taken to the point of use.
In the accompanying drawing which shows embodiments of the object of the invention;
Fig. l shows, in axial vertical section, an embodiment of a table salt shaker or sprinkler.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Fig. 2 is a variant. of Freeze 1.
Fig. 3 is a vertical section of a dispensing device, metering or not, by spraying liquid.
Fig. 4 shows a device for dispensing with or without spraying liquid in a previously metered quantity.
The salt cellar comprises a body 1, made of any suitable material, comprising an axial chimney 2. leaving between it and the body 1, an annular space intended to receive the salt 3. The chimney 2 is pierced with a vertical duct 4, of which the The upper end protrudes from the edge 5 of the body 1, and consequently the level of the salt 3 while its lower end is conveniently located in retraction of the foot or plinth 6 of the body 1.
The body is covered with a cover 7, preferably shaped in its interior along a curved surface of ovoid revolution 8, the axis of which coincides with the axis of the duct 4.
Thanks to this arrangement, when the body 1, loaded with salt 3 is subjected to vertical shocks, the salt striking the surface 8 of the cover 7 is returned by the latter in the direction of the vertical axis common to this surface and to the conduit 4. and returns to fall, by gravity, into this conduit which delivers it to the food, without it being necessary to overturn the body 1. It should be noted that with each shock communicated to the body 1, the drop and the distribution, through channel 4, of a uniform quantity of salt, which allows a more rational use.
Thanks to the arrangement described, the salt contained inside the body 1 is shielded from external influences.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
rieures, and in particular to the hygrocospic influence of the air, so that the dusting can be carried out in a perfectly regular manner.
On the other hand, the salt will remain perfectly clean and free from any contamination. Access to. Evacuation duct 4 is in fact prohibited during the period when the salt shaker is not in use, due to the fact that the free lower end of duct 3 is set back from the base 6 which provides a sealing perfect.
This salt cellar could be established in any desired material; wood, metal, celluloid, molded material, glass or other, and having any desired shape, 4 circular, oval, polygonal or other cross-section; the cover 8 being either simply fitted, as in the example represented, or screwed or otherwise fixed, with bayonet, etc., on the body 1.
On the cover 8, or at the upper end of the chimney 2, a regulating member, such as a screw, cap with or without perforation, intended to adjust the flow section of the conduit 4, and even; possibly blocking this conduit. The upper end of the duct 4 will preferably be given a slightly narrowed section, so as to prevent obstruction of the duct. The chimney 2, on the other hand, will preferably be terminated at its upper part by a frustoconical part ensuring the return into the body 1 of fragments of material with a cross section too large to be able to penetrate into the channel 4.
The duct 4 can be divided, at its lower end, into any desired number of branches, or branches, ensuring good distribution of the powder material.

powder.
In the variant of FIG. 2, the body 1 has at its lower part a projection 9, to which is fixed, for example by screwing, a created core 10 intended to constitute a reservoir for the salt or other material to be distributed, leaving between its outer wall and the inner wall of body 1, an annular space 11 which also exists between the upper part of this core and the cover 7.
Opposite an opening 12 made in the upper part of the crecax core 10, the cover 7 comprises a directing boss 13. Distribution orifices 14 are made in the base 6.
In this embodiment, the distribution of the pulverulent material takes place in the same way as in the case of FIG. 1. In these two embodiments, however the chimney, either central, 4 in FIG. 1, or peripheral ,, 11 in FIG. 2, could have an axis different from that of the body 1, and be placed asymmetrically with respect to the body, having any desired shape.
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the lower chimney 2 is terminated at its upper part by a cup 15, the opening of which ends near the vault 8, which could be provided either on an attached cover or on the body 1 itself. @
The central channel 4 comprises at its base a directing cone or diffuser 16, supported 'a hollow rod 17, the position of which can be adjusted ,, for example by screwing this rod into a boss 18 of the body 1, or of all, another way. The base 6 constituting a funnel for filling
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
of the body, which comprises a vent with a removable plug 19.
In this embodiment, more particularly intended for the distribution by aspssion of liquid, perfume, or other, one can use the device by filling by means of a shock impressed on the body 1 the cup 15, then by making flow through the channel 4 the liquid thus measured, the distribution of which is suitably ensured by an appropriate position of the rod 16 which can be adjusted at any time.
For filling, the body 1 is inverted, then after removing the vent plug 19, the liquid is introduced into this body through the central channel 4, the base 6 then playing the role of a funnel.
In the embodiment of FIG. 4, more particularly applicable to the metered distribution of liquid, at the lower part of a flask or bottle 20 is provided a cup 21 of suitable capacity, provided with a drain channel 22 which comes flush with the end of the neck 23, closed by a tamper-proof diaphragm 24, intended to prevent subsequent filling of the bottle after its contents have been exhausted.
A tube forming a vent, not shown, is provided to connect the metering cup 21 with the outside.
The operation is then as follows:
At rest, the bottle 20 occupying the position of FIG. 4 the bucket 21 is filled by its arrival 25 of small section.
When it is desired to distribute the liquid contained in the bottle 20, in a qhantité equal to the content of the measuring cup 21, the bottle 20 is inverted: the liquid of. bucket 20 then escaped through channel 22, while the fall of the liquid contained in the bottle 20 is prevented by the diaphragm 24. It is easy to realize that it then empties, only outside
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
out of the bottle 20 a quantity of liquid substantially equal to the content of said cup 21 and when this bottle is returned to the normal position indicated in FIG. 4, well 21 fills up again.
An automatic valve, valve or similar device, preventing the rise of the liquid inside the channel 22, could be placed in 1 channel 22.
The invention is applicable for the dusting of all condiments, such as salt, pepper, sugar or others, and for the distribution of all pulverulent, liquid or other materials.
