La présente invention a pour objet un passe-main pour parapluies et autres articles semblables, plus particulièrement l'invention réside dans un système d'attache perfectionné per - mettant de fixer un passe-main quelconque sur un parapluie, ou autre article analogue, et l'invention vise encore à créer un système de ce genre qui soit de construction simple et écono - mique, pouvant se monter facilement sur tous parapluies et autres, et permettant de mettre et d'enlever facilement le pas se-main.
Primitivement on a attaché les passe-main aux manches des parapluies en munissant le passe-main d'une boucle (1) au moyen de laquelle on forme une sorte de noeud coulant autour et à la base du manche du parapluie de la façon clairement visible à la figure 1 du dessin annexé. Un tel mode d'attache présente l'inconvénient que la boucle (1) subit une usure prématurée, et que l'enlèvement du passe-main n'est pas instantané.
Suivant l'invention, on dispose à la base du manche du parapluie ou autre un petit crochet dans lequel peut entrer, par une faible pression, un anneau terminant le passe-main pro-

prement dit. Le.dit petit crochet est de dimensions telles qu' il est très peu visible à la base du manche, et il est consti - tué de préférence au moyen d'une petite rondelle plate, munie d'une saillie recourbée en crochet, et qu'on enfile sur la tête du parapluie avant de placer le manche, lequel maintient ensuite la dite rondelle en position.
Une forme de réalisation de l'invention est donnée schéma- tiquement aux figures 2 et 3 du dessin annexé :

Dans la figure 2 on a représenté en 2 la poignée d'un parapluie, laquelle est enfilée, comme il est connu, sur une tige 3 et ensuite collée. Suivant l'invention on enfile d'a - bord sur la tige 3 une rondelle 4 de dimensions convenables, laquelle comporte un petit crochet 5 suffisamment en saillie pour qu'après avoir fixé la poignée 2, on puisse y accrocher le passe-main par l'anneau 7 qui termine ce dernier.
La rondelle 4 est vue en plan à. la figure 3 ; elle peut comporter des perforations 8, 8' pour la retenir par vis ou par clous sur le parapluie, quoique le collage de la poignée 2 suffise généralement à cet effet. Le crochet 5 est recourbé à tel point qu'il faut une légère pression pour y introduire au - delà. du bec l'anneau 7 ; le passe-main ne peut ainsi se décro - cher accidentellement.
Il est visible qu'on peut donner à la rondelle 4 des di - mensions telles que seul le crochet 5 fisse saillie sur le parapluie ; cette rondelle peut avoir toute forme : carrée, polygonale, etc. appropriée à. la forme du manche. Le passe - main proprement dit peut être en cuir, tressé, tubulaire, etc. , l'attache de l'anneau 7 ne présentant en aucun cas de difficul- tés.

The present invention relates to a hand loop for umbrellas and other similar articles, more particularly the invention resides in an improved fastening system making it possible to attach any hand holder to an umbrella, or other similar article, and the invention also aims to create a system of this type which is of simple and economical construction, which can be easily mounted on all umbrellas and the like, and which makes it possible to easily put on and remove the step by hand.
Originally we attached the hand loops to the sleeves of the umbrellas by providing the hand loop with a loop (1) by means of which a sort of noose is formed around and at the base of the umbrella handle in a clearly visible way. in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing. Such a method of attachment has the drawback that the buckle (1) undergoes premature wear, and that the removal of the pass-hand is not instantaneous.

The said small hook is of such dimensions that it is hardly visible at the base of the handle, and it is preferably made by means of a small flat washer, provided with a projection curved into a hook, and that 'one puts on the head of the umbrella before placing the handle, which then maintains the said washer in position.
An embodiment of the invention is given diagrammatically in Figures 2 and 3 of the accompanying drawing:

In Figure 2 there is shown at 2 the handle of an umbrella, which is threaded, as is known, on a rod 3 and then glued. According to the invention, a washer 4 of suitable dimensions is threaded first onto the rod 3, which comprises a small hook 5 sufficiently projecting so that, after having fixed the handle 2, the pass-through can be hooked thereon by. the ring 7 which ends the latter.
The washer 4 is seen in plan at. figure 3; it may have perforations 8, 8 'to retain it by screws or nails on the umbrella, although the gluing of the handle 2 is generally sufficient for this purpose. The hook 5 is bent to such an extent that a slight pressure is required to introduce beyond it. ring 7 of the beak; the pass-hand cannot be accidentally unhooked.
It can be seen that the washer 4 can be given dimensions such that only the hook 5 protrudes from the umbrella; this washer can have any shape: square, polygonal, etc. suitable for. the shape of the handle. The pass itself can be leather, braided, tubular, etc. , the attachment of the ring 7 not presenting any difficulties.
