<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The cabinet (Figure 1) has a solid base which contains the movement control mechanism and opens through a door in one of the panels. Above this solid part, and separated from it by a floor 2, is a glazed part comprising uprights 5 at the four corners and mirrors 4.
In the middle of the panels there may be rods 5 between which there are bands 6 carrying a fixed or mobile advertisement. Above the glazed part which has just been described, there may be another glazed part 7 separated from the first by an intermediate floor and covered by a roof 8 supported by an ornamental cornice.
Inside the glazed parts we see (figures 1 and 2) four square rotating display cases 11, 12, 13, 14 which can be surmounted by four other display cases 1 ', 12' 3 '
14 ', in the upper compartment. Each of these showcases is constituted by a frame formed, for example, of several horizontal Saint-André crosses 16 and uprights 17. These frames can either form shelves * as was shown for the lower showcases, or include on their faces are posters or transparent photographs.
Their lighting is ensured either by long lamps placed in the corners of the cabinet, or by dipsoed lamps inside each display case * The center of each display case is crossed (figures 1 and 4) by an axis 19 to which the display case is fixed for example by a via SI * This axis passes through the floor 2 and is supported on a needle screw 22 fixed to the floor 2 by means of a bracket 24.
The rotation of the axes 19 is produced (figure 2, 4, 6) by pinions 25 fixed by screws 26 on the shafts l9.0n sees¯¯ that the displacement of the pinions 26 on the pins 19 will be possible AT the center of the cabinet finds a central control shaft 27 extending over the entire height of the cabinet and supported at the bottom of this cabinet and in the ceiling so as to be able to easily turn * This shaft carries an arm 28 terminated by teeth (three in the case of figure) 29, sus-

It will be appreciated that for each rotation of one revolution of the shaft 27, each of the display cases 11, 12, 13 14 receives successively a rotation of a quarter of a turn, for example, so that the exposed face of the display case changes * It is necessary that the display case stops in a well-determined position, and that the momentum which it has received from the arm 28 does not make it exceed this position. this effect we use a dispoultif, d $ arrlt with spring which can be any but, in ¯partioulier.type7presented in pride 5.
Ohaoume of the wheels 25 has holes 31 towards its periphery (Figure 5). In these holes can penetrate the end of the finger 32 subjected to the action of a spring 33, but which tends to raise the pusher 34 articulated to the lever end 55

When reaching the pinion, arm 28 depresses the
EMI4.5
wheel 58, the finger 52 rises leaving the hole 51 in which it was inserted.
Once the momentum is given, the arm, leaving the pinion, abandons the knurled wheel, the finger 52 comes to bear on the surface of the pinion 25 and enters a new hole 51, thus stopping the rotation of the display case.
It is clear that if, for any reason, one wishes to interrupt the movement of one of the display cases, it suffices to shift one of the pinions 25 on its shaft 19 so that it is no longer in the plane of the arm. 28.
EMI4.6
The upper display cases 11 ', 12', 15 ', 14', will have their particular shafts, provided with pinions, and their order will be exactly the same as that of the display cases 11, 12, 15, 14. It will however be advantageous to shift the arm that
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
will cause them to rotate by a certain angle, for example an angle of 90 with respect to the shaft 28 * the movement of these showcases will then occur not simultaneously with the movement of the lower showcases, which will add to the appeal of the device.
The movement of the central axis 27 is controlled by a small electric motor 35 (figure 3) which, by a series of multiplications 36, 337 38 produces the rotation of a shaft end 39 which loses a pinion of angle 41 meshing with a toothed ring 42 wedged on the shaft 27 The shaft end 39 also carries two additional bearings 43 controlling by means of belts 44 the rotation of domed rollers 45 which circulate the endless belts 6 ( figure 1) which has been mentioned; these endless bands are stretched over the rollers 45 actuated by the motor and over other rollers 48 arranged for example at the top of the cabinet.
It should be noted, moreover, that the addition of these circulating bands is by no means necessary and intended only to increase the attractive power of the apparatus.
CLAIMS
