<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

STAIRCASE PROVIDED WITH MARKET HOLDERS AND
The present invention relates to a staircase comprising a flight of steps each provided with a nose.
It is intended to allow the use of prefabricated steps, particularly concrete.
When installing prefabricated stair treads, there is essentially the problem of exposure time and labor intensity. With existing means of wooden formwork, the two aforementioned parameters are quantitatively very important: very long exposure time and high labor cost.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks. Thus, the invention resolves the aforementioned points by the fact that there is each time provided between mutually adjacent steps, a step holder intended to make them cooperate, the step holder comprising a head and a notch, each nose being arranged to bear on the head of the corresponding step holder and the rear face of each step being arranged in the notch of the corresponding step holder, so as to allow adjustable support of each step with blocking of the respective underlying step .
This possibility of adjusting the height of the rear of each step makes it possible to modify the height and the lap of the step (within certain limits) and thus to adapt the staircase according to the invention to different ground slopes. Thus, the staircase obtained thanks to the invention responds to an excellent adaptability to the ground and the laying environment, while not
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
no strings required as long as there is support ground.
In an advantageous embodiment, each notch is adjustable in height so that it can be adapted to the height of each corresponding step. The clearance between the steps on the one hand and the respective intermediate step carriers on the other hand is limited so as to ensure greater convenience of use.
In the case of stringer (s), the market carriers can advantageously be integrated into the stringer in a single piece, so as to allow a considerable reduction in the exposure time. This advantage is further reinforced when, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the stringer is profiled so as to have step-carrying elements at regular intervals thereon, and more particularly, the stringer is profiled by lateral relief of so as to present market-carrying elements arranged in relief on the lateral face of the stringer, the latter mode ensuring a perfectly camouflaged laying of the respective steps and market-holders, moreover, of great solidity.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the stringer is profiled by cutting so as to present step-carrying elements arranged in cutting at the upper face of the stringer.
According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the market holder consists each time of an attached element, which is fixed on an adjacent wall or on the stringer itself, which is particularly suitable when it is not desired to use silts.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
More particularly, the tread carrier comprises a fixing part which can be attached to the wall or to the stringer by fixing means and a functional part comprising the abovementioned support head and the abovementioned notch.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the functional part comprises two mutually displaceable parts, one comprising the head so as to allow the abovementioned support and the other comprising the notch so as to allow reception of the respective step, means of clamping being provided for their mutual fixing. A particularly effective means is thus obtained by decomposing the added element into specific functional units and each designed to achieve the best of their respective function while ensuring perfect coordination between the different functional units.
In this respect, a longitudinal slot is advantageously provided in each piece so as to allow mutual height adjustment, the notched piece forming a slider adjustable by a projection, thus providing the possibility of varying the height of each step independently of its neighbors. via the adjustment slider which gives a perfect connection to the different levels served by the staircase.
To this end, there is also preferably provided a longitudinal slot in the fixing part so as to allow an adjustment in height of the step carrier relative to the wall or to the stringer. This type of step holder provides a possibility of inclination adjustment and thereby provides a very satisfactory solution to the problem constituted by the differences in level of the laying surfaces to be used for the staircase.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In a specific embodiment of the invention, the step holder is made of metal, allowing a substantial reduction in overall dimensions as well as a support for high loads.
The present invention also includes a method of assembling a staircase comprising the following steps: the stringers are placed in parallel and level at the setpoint location, the steps are successively deposited, starting with the starting step on the heads corresponding and they are pushed to the stop formed by the bottom of the corresponding notch, then they are locked in a substantially horizontal position by added wedging means, and after the laying of the steps on the entire flight of staircase we seal the upper or upper and lower or lower joints of the notches. In particular, the upper or upper and lower or lower joints are sealed using improved mortar, preferably composed of a mixture of cement and resin.
In the method of assembling another aforementioned embodiment, the level of the cursor is preset for each step holder to obtain the desired step height, the starting step is placed on the provisional support head and pinched the rear face of this step, at the edge of the wall or stringer, in the notches of the two step holders, the pair of step holders are then fixed to the respective wall or stringers and then the next and overlying step is placed on the heads of the door treads to the desired lap, pinch the rear face and repeat each time the process for each overlying step until the complete placement of the flight of stairs.
In particular, the pair of step holders is fixed by screwing with a prior dowel and more
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
in particular, the pair of step holders is fixed without screwing with a prior dowel.
When installing stairs without stringer (s), the step of laying stringer is eliminated in the above-mentioned methods.
Finally, thanks to the use of prefabricated market carriers according to the invention, it is also possible to save appreciable time since the use of the staircase must no longer be deferred until the concrete poured has dried in the case of a traditional achievement.
Exemplary embodiments are described in more detail in the description given below with the aid of the accompanying drawings.
Figures 1 to 4 show respectively side and front views of a first and second embodiment of stairs with step holders.
Figures 5 to 7 show enlarged detail views of a first embodiment of stair step holder according to the invention.
Figures 8 and 9 respectively show an enlarged detail view of a second mode and a sectional view along line VII-VII therein.
Figures 10 and 11 respectively show an enlarged detail view of a third mode and a sectional view along line IX-IX therein.
The market holder 40; 50.60 illustrated in FIGS. 4 to 7 consists of a separate piece, preferably made of metal, to be fixed to a wall or to a non-profiled stringer. On the face
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
6 is illustrated an example of direct attachment to the wall 4.
Figures 7 and 8 show the step holder 50 incorporated in the stringer in the form of a profile, in relief on the lateral face of the stringer 5. The third alternative embodiment of the step holder produced in the form of a cut profile on the upper face is illustrated in FIGS. 9 and 10.
The step holder simultaneously performs the following two functions: simple, unblocked and fixed support of the nose 6 of a step 11 on the head 47, 51, 61 of the piece 40, 50, 60 on the one hand and support with adjustment R in height and blocking of the rear 21 of the underlying step dz in the notch 32 of said piece 40 on the other hand.
It is this possible adjustment in height of the rear 21 of each step 1, which makes it possible to modify within certain limits the height and the lap of the step and thus to be able to work on different slopes by installing a staircase on a floor. not strictly uniform.
The mounting method is described below for each of the alternative embodiments of the step holder 40, 50, 60 respectively.
In the case of separate mechanical parts illustrated in Figures 4 to 6, - Preset for each part the level of the slider to obtain the desired step height.
- Place the first step on temporary support and pinch the rear face of this step, at the edge of the wall or stringer, in the notches of the two parts. - Then fix these two parts to the walls or stringers by screwing with or without the following anchor

nature of the support.
- Place the second step on the heads of the mechanical parts with the desired lap, pinch the rear face ... etc ...
In the case of mechanical parts, possibility of varying the height of each step independently of its neighbors via the adjustment slider (fig. 1) hence perfect connection to the different levels served by the staircase.
This possibility remains after first placement.
In the case of lateral profiled or cut-out stringers (fig.
7 and 8) respectively 9 and 10: - Place the parallel and level stringers at the intended location.
- Starting at the bottom, place the steps on the heads (a) and push them until the notches stop (b). Lock in horizontal position by wooden blocks up and down in the notches.
- With all the steps installed, seal all the top and bottom joints of the notches with improved mortar (cement + resin).
The numerous advantages of the process lie in particular in the possible use of steps of different width and profile; compatibility with and possible installation on variable slopes, of the order of 5 to 7, 50, for profiled stringers 50,60 and more in the case of separate mechanical parts 40; and simplified assembly and blocking of steps.
