Abstract

Unlike prior art methods for producing spagyric essences from plants, the present process provides standardised products in relation to the dry residue of the plants used with a defined alcohol content. The components of a spagyric essence which are spagyritically essential -- fermentation alcohol, volatile aromatic substances and soluble mineral salts -- are obtained completely and in pure form. The production process is distinguished by a way of starting yeast fermentation which avoids the development of micro-organisms, full ashing with total extraction of the mineral substances and different methods of separating out impurities also extracted. Spagyric essences or original tinctures are used as medicaments in human and veterinary medicine.
