Prefabricated key panel 05G, air-rated concrete top closing panel. (01 A, 01 B, 02A, 02B, 03B) 7. Pivot ring 05F, sheet metal fabricated cylinder with panel connections (02A, 03A, 03B). The external and internal panels form the fully functional building and the movable middle elements pro vide its full protection when they are closed in front of the internal panels.
PREFABRICATED FIREPROOF DOME BUILDINGS This is a simple specification: A. Components 1) Positioning panel 05A(03B) This circular floor panel is the first and placed to the centre of the building. It will determine the position of the whole building 2) Floor Panels 05B (01 A, 03B) Made from flat circle segments. Their reinforcing and thick ness determined by structural engineer. 3) Key ganel 05G_(01A, 011B, 02A, 02B, 03B) provide the top enclosure of the structure. The key panel will be equipped with a closable ventilation unit and its purpose is to close and stabilise the structure. When this type of buildings are built in fire prone areas fibre optic emergency lights will be embedded into the panel material. 4) Pivot Ring 05F (02A, 03A, 038)) is a sheet metal tube & ring fabrication 5) External (Petal) panels. 05C (01A, 01B, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B, 04C) They are fixed to the floor (base) panels at the bottom and to the Pivot ring at the top. They are reinforced dome segments, and the outer part of the load bearing structure of the build ing. 6) Internal (Petal) panels.05D (01A, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B) They are fixed to the floor (base) panels at the bottom and to the Pivot ring at the top. They are reinforced dome segments, and the inner part of load bearing structure of the building. The win dows & doors can be built in them. These panels do not necessarily need to be in fixed in position. They can be designed to be mobile, rolling on prepared floor rail and on the Pivot ring. 7) Middle (Petal) panels. 05E (011B, 02B, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B, 04C) They are the main com ponent of the protective shield (firestorm, tornado, unwanted human interference) to gether with the External panels. They are reinforced dome segments, and not part of the load bearing structure. They have built in solid steel rolling balls at the bottom and at the top.
B. The Process 1. The top soil and all roots, debris shall be removed from the land where the building will be positioned. Place agriculture lines or other types of pipes to drains the area properly from any water source.. Plumbing, electric cable and other services prepared underground. 2. Compact & level the area with a minimum of 150 mm sand or aggregate. (alternatively follow the local regu latory proceedings) 3. A mobile crane is needed to put together the prefabricated building elements. Place the Positioning panel 05A (03B) to the marked centre of the building. This panel will guide the rest of the floor elements, basically the whole building into the desired position. 4. When all floor elements 058 (01A, 038) are laid & fixed, the Pivot ring 05F shall be put in position with the help of a temporarily erected scaffold or similar. (02A, 03A, 038) 5. Internal fixed 05D (or mobile) panels (01A, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 048) shall be placed and fixed in po sition, marked on floor panels, and bolted to them internally and permanently. (temporarily if they are mobile) 6. Middle panels 05E (011B, 02B, 03A, 03B, 04A, 048, 04C) faced outward from the centre of the building, placed at beside and in front of the Internal panels. They all need to be fixed temporarily to provide safe proceeding and stability of the whole structure. 7. The outer layer of External panels 05C (OA, 018, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 048, 04C) placed in position after all Middle panels are erected. All External panels are permanently fixed onto the floor elements and onto the Pivot Ring 05F. (03A) 8. The Key panel 05F (01A, 018, 02A, 02B, 03B) will be positioned last at the top of the dome. 9. The Entrance door panels and other interior panels can be fixed manually or with the help of a small mobile hoist. 10. Finally the temporary bolts can be removed and the structure of the building is functional. The mobile Middle panels closing and opening movement can be operated by remote control with different types of motors. However in specially Australian conditions or other fire prone areas of the world it is advisable to design the panels' rolling movement operation not just mechanically but also manually .As a precaution in this environ ment it will be practical to use compress air operated engines (alternatively battery backed up electric motors).
C. Elements and Materials The aerated concrete components are designed from the same ingredients as a 5 hours fire tested sample panel (in Sydney). Reinforcing method of the panels are not part of this patent appli cation. Our dome building with MULTILAYERED SEGMENTS contains seven basic elements. 1st. Positionina Panel 05A (03B) Thickness of this panel is same as the surrounding Floor panels determined by structural engineer. This panel will be placed to the centre of the building structure. It only acts as an ordinary floor panel. Waterproofing can be done under or the top of the panels. 2nd. Floor Panels 05B (01A, 03B) The circular segment shaped panels are made hollow core. They are made from stronger strength concrete than wall panels in accordance with structural engineer specification, because of their load bearing function as part of the foundation. All ser vices placed in the panels and junctions prepared to be fixed to the wall panel connec tions. The panels interconnected with galvanised bolts. All panels have several vertical holes where quick set foam can be compressed underneath for final level adjustment. All necessary information marked on the top surface, like position of partition walls, posi tion of Internal, Middle & External panels. Also the temporary and permanent fixing bolt connections are placed into the material of the Floor panels. The walking surface of Floor panels can be sanded & polished in the factory. 3rd. External Panels 05C (01 A, 01 B, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B, 04C) These panels are the main part of the dome shell structure. They are sitting on the rim of Floor panels where they are bolted down permanently. At the top section they are fixed into the circular surface of the Pivot Ring. They contain conducts for wires for lighting externally & internally. They can be formed as hollow core panels to embedding air-condition pipes and other services like; Central Vacuum cleaning system.
4th. Internal Panels 05D (01A, 02A, 02C, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B, 04C) These panels will house windows, doors or other opening or decorative building elements. In case of fire or other potential dan gers these panels have to be protected from any physical damages because of glass or other non fireproof or stormproof materials. 5th. Middle Panels 05E (01 B, 02B, 03A, 03B, 04A, 04B, 04C) This mobile panels are our inventions most prominent parts, the essence of the concept. The Middle panels placed between the External & Internal panels. Their pur pose are to harmonise the building function and protection in a new innovative way. The main feature of the Dome building is the sturdiness and simplicity of the structure. But itself these facts are not enough to protect people inside from dramatic external influences. The Middle panels provide a blanket cover at all week points of the build ing. Therefore no whether elements : firestorm, tornado, sandstorm, hailstorm, ex treme cold & heat can adversely effect the occupants. The unbroken surface of the dome, when it closed up by the Middle panels, provides perfect and favourable aero dynamic properties for the building and evenly protected shield on the full surface of the building. The panels' simple robust rolling mechanism at the bottom and the top makes manual operation easy. No black out or mechanical mishap will jeopardise the closing or opening process (especially in emergency situation). The second aspect is the safety of the building. When they are automated, the Middle panels will roll by remote control operated motors the building can be closed down anytime. This make the building totally safe from any intruders. This aspect make our dome building very attractive to use as: Schools, Community buildings. The high number of vandalism, especially School fires, can be eliminated using our build ing system 8 Third aspect is: energy conservation. Closing down the building totally or partly at night will conserve and save daylight temperature internally. Fourth aspect is: Total noise insulation. If the neighbours have a party or the nearby train or truck traffic is too noisy, only need to reach for the remote button and no more worry about that problem. The whole triple layer systems simplicity as its design elements, simplicity as the speedy prefabricated building erection method, makes our building concept very competitive against any other existing ones. 6th. Pivot Rina 05F (02A, 03A, 03B) Sheet metal fabricated cylinder with different types of grooves, rings, bolts, brackets and holes designed by mechanical and structural engineers. This element is the upper supporting structure of all Panels (External, Internal & Middle panels). It provides a firm bond between External, Internal panels and unites the strength distribution on the top of the building. Second: It contains the groove & ring channel to the Middle panel to make free turning possible at the top. Thirdly: It is housing the Key panel. 7th. Key panel 05F (01A, 01 B, 02A, 02B, 03B) The panel made from the same material as the wall panels. Formed at the bottom part to fit in the Pivot ring 05F and the top part to cover with over lap the External and Middle panels. It is also housing a hermetically closable and power ful vent system. This panel is not part of the structural system, and firmly connected to the Pivot Ring.
