Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle with a tarpaulin cover (1) and to a tarpaulin cover that is laterally fixed and underneath which an inflatable body (2) or a spreader (20) is disposed, supported from below. Said inflatable body or spreader, when inflated or spread, lifts the center of the tarpaulin cover (1) and tensions it laterally, with the sides sloping. The original tarpaulin cover (1) of the vehicle load area or trailer or semitrailer is lined in its top area with the inflatable body (2) or with a plurality of spreaders that are actuated by a motor. Said body or spreaders is/are supported from below by a top strip (3) or by respective transverse hoops and is/are linked with a pressure-limiting filling device and evacuation device or with a voltage source, limited by a limit switch, and can be actuated by means of an actuator.
