Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1

<tb>
<tb> etwa, <SEP> 55 <SEP> Teile <SEP> Wolfram.
<tb>

  .. <SEP> 35 <SEP> Eisen,
<tb> )., <SEP> Titan,
<tb> 2.. <SEP> Cerund
<tb> .... <SEP> 3... <SEP> Kohlenstoff.
<tb>

Drehstähle usw.) in gewissen Grenzen schwanken : a ! s annähernde Grenzwerte seien genannt :
 EMI1.2

<tb> 50-55 <SEP> Teile <SEP> Wolfram.

  Metal alloy of great hardness for tools and other working equipment, especially drawing dies.

   A wide variety of materials are used for special tools such as drawing dies and other tools that require great hardness. Compounds, etc. have been proposed such as diamond, carbides, silicides. Borides, nitrides, but that. provided they had the required degree of hardness. all had some downside: either. that their production was too cumbersome or that the material itself was too expensive, etc. like

   The subject of the invention is an alloy of tungsten with the addition of other metals, etc. which is easy and relatively cheap to produce and also has a very high degree of hardness in addition to a certain flexibility, making it particularly suitable for drawing dies for metal wire or is suitable for other work equipment.

   The best results have been obtained for alloy drawing dies. had the following composition:
 EMI1.1

<tb>
<tb> about, <SEP> 55 <SEP> parts of <SEP> tungsten.
<tb>

  .. <SEP> 35 <SEP> iron,
<tb>)., <SEP> titanium,
<tb> 2 .. <SEP> Cerund
<tb> .... <SEP> 3 ... <SEP> carbon.
<tb>

   The amounts of these ingredients. primarily tungsten and iron, can of course vary within certain limits depending on the purpose of the object (whether for drawing dies and shaped pieces for drawing or for drills, turning tools, etc.): a! s approximate limit values are mentioned:
 EMI1.2

<tb>
<tb> 50-55 <SEP> parts of <SEP> tungsten.
<tb>

  30-40 .. <SEP> Exactly. <SEP> during <SEP> the <SEP> other <SEP> components <SEP> in <SEP> are essential
<tb>
 always stay the same. so about:
 EMI1.3

<tb>
<tb> 4-6 <SEP> parts <SEP> titanium.
<tb>

  1-3 .. <SEP> cerium,
<tb> 2-4 .. <SEP> carbon.
<tb>

 EMI1.4
