Maschinen, Apparate u. dgl.
Bekanntlich können in den Blechpaketen von elektrischen Maschinen und Apparaten auftretende Wirbelströme ernstliche Gefahren für die betreffenden Maschinen (Apparate) mit sich bringen. Die Entstehung dieser Wirbelströme ist besonders dort überall zu befürchten, wo sich die Kanten der einzelnen Bleche der Pakete gegenüberliegen, also an der gesamten Oberfläche des Blechkörpers, besonders aber an den Stossflächen, Bolzenlöchern usw. desselben. In erhöhtem Masse tritt die genannte Gefahr dann auf, wenn die erwähnten Stellen bearbeitet werden müssen und so die Bildung eines leitenden Metallgrates von Blech zu Blech begünstigt wird. Gute Resultatae wurden bei der Ausführung dieses Verfahrens bei Verwendung von verdünnter Salpeter-oder Schwefelsäure als Ätzmittel erzielt. Die nachträgliche Reinigung kann in einfachsterweise durch Abspülen und Scheuern mittels Lappen, sowie sofort folgendes Trocknen durch Wärmewirkung (Lotlampe, Lötkolben), erfolgen.
Es sei jedoch ausdrücklich betont, dass die Art des Ätzmittels (spezielle chemische Beschaffenheit desselben) für das Verfahren nicht wesentlich ist.
