Process for the extraction of copper and other metals from gravel burns.
The present invention relates to a process for the extraction of copper and the other metals contained in pebbles (residues from the roasting of iron pebbles), such as lead, zinc, etc., from these burns by treating the latter with chlorine in the state of formation on a wet route and at a relatively lower level Temperature. This ancestor has the advantage over the previously used ones of allowing a more complete and less costly extraction of the copper, as well as an extraction that extends to almost the entire amount of the other metals present, such as lead, zinc, etc.
while in the previous process these other metals remain in the burns, which is a disadvantage when the latter is used in the iron and steel industry. Especially compared to the known method of he-
