Motor locomotive with an electric hydraulic drive.
The invention relates to a motor locomotive with an electrically hydraulic drive. The invention consists primarily in the fact that several electric motors, for example synchronous motors, act on the hydraulic transmission connected between them and the drive wheels, with all motors coming into effect when starting, while some or all of the motors are switched off while driving. This makes it possible to precisely adapt the power output to the respective conditions.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown in Fig. 1 in side view and in Fig. 2 in top view.
In the chassis of the locomotive, two different sized motors a and b (suitably synchronous motors) are arranged in the track direction, which work on a common shaft k. On the outer end of this shaft 7 'sit hydraulic gears c and cl, which expediently consist of a primary pump set arranged in the direction of the track and a secondary pump set located transversely thereto.
The drive wheels e are driven by drive rods from the shaft N; of the secondary pump sets.
When starting, both motors a and b are fed and both gears e and d are driven, so that the greatest torque is transmitted to the drive wheels. After the starting resistances have been overcome, the larger or smaller motor or both can be switched off during the journey as required, with the switched off motors either resting or idling. In the latter case, which would come into consideration in the event of strong fluctuations in the contact line voltage. the idling motor counteracts a drop in contact wire voltage. The working one

The drive wheels e are driven by the secondary shafts 111 of the transmission. In the embodiment referred to, they are coupled to one another by a drive rod. These connecting rods can also be omitted. But then it is useful to arrange one or more bypass lines i between the suction channels of the two gears e and d, so that the two gears are hydraulic
