Beim Nähen sehr starker oder fester Stoffe auf der Nähmaschine ist beim Niedergehen der Nadel, also beim Durchstechen des Stoffes, ein bedeutend grösserer Kraftaufwand erforderlich als beim Hochgehen der Nadel. Ebenso ist der Kraftaufwand für den Stoffrücker beim Arbeitsgang grösser als beim Leergang. Dies hat Stösse zur Folge, die sich für den die Maschine antreibenden Arbeiter unangenehm bemerkbar machen. Um diesen [belstand zu vermeiden, werden nach der Erfindung die Nadctstange und der Stoffrücker mit Federn versehen, die beim Leergang gespannt werden und durch Ausnutzung ihrer Spannung beim Arbeitsgang den äusseren Kraftaufwand vermindern.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung in den Fig. 1 bis 4 dargestellt. Auf die Nadelstange a, b ist eine Schraubenfeder aufgeschoben. die sieh oben am Maschinengehäuse bei c und unten an dem an der Nadelstallge angreifenden Kurbelteil bei d abstützt.
Eine zweite Schraubenfeder ist einerseits am Stoffrücker e (Fig. 1) bzw. f (Fig. 4) eingehakt, anderseits unter der Nähplatte am Gehäuse befestigt.

When sewing very strong or solid fabrics on the sewing machine, a significantly greater effort is required when the needle goes down, i.e. when the fabric is pierced, than when the needle goes up. Likewise, the effort required for the fabric pusher is greater in the work process than in the empty process. This results in shocks that are unpleasant for the worker driving the machine. In order to avoid this obstruction, according to the invention, the needle bar and the fabric back are provided with springs which are tensioned during idling and reduce the external effort by utilizing their tension during operation.
