Die bisher gebräuchlichen Faltboothüllen aus Segeltuch o. dgl. zeigten den Nachteil, dass das hierzu verwendete Segeltuch trotz bester Imprägnierung mehr oder weniger wasserdurchlässig war oder nach kurzem Gebrauche bald wasserdurchlässig wurde. Um diesen Nachteil zu vermeiden, hat man die Fallboothülle aus einer oder mehreren Lagen von Segeltuch und einer äusseren Lage von Gummi hergestellt. Hier ergab sich, dass die aussenliegende Gummischicht insbesondere an den Ecken und Kanten sowie am Boden hauptsächlich bei wiederholtem Auffahren auf sandigem Grund bald abgescheuert und - die Hülle an diesen Stellen wasserdurchlässig wurde.
In diesem Falle sowohl, als auch bei Verwendung einer Segeltuchhülle ohne wasserdichte Schicht musste man das Segeltuch von Zeit zu Zeit nachimprägieren.
Die Erfindung behebt auch diesen Nachteil. Sie besteht darin, dass zwei Segeltuchoder dgl. Schichten verwendet werden, die durch eine Schicht wasserdichten und beim Er. starren geschmeidig werdenden Klebstoffes, z. B. Gummi, miteinander verbunden sind. Der die Wasserdichtheit hervorrufende Klebstoff ist auf diese Weise gegen äussere Einflüsse, insbesondere Abscheuern geschützt. Dadurch wird nicht nur die Wasserdichtheit der Bootshülle eine vollkommenere und andauernde, sondern es wird auch die Lebensdauer der Bootshülle bedeutend verlängert.
Die nachstehend beschriebene Ausführungsform der Erfindung bezweckt, das Gewicht der Faltboothüllen zu vermindern, ohne dass dadurch eine wesentliche Änderung des technischen Erfolges der Faltboothüllen eintritt.
Um dies zu erreichen, wird an Stelle der einen Segeltuchschicht eine Schicht aus Nesselgewebe o. dgl. angewendet. Dadurch wird das Gewicht der Faltboothülle wesentlich vermindert. Die Neuerung ist insbesonders dann von Erfolg, wenn die Segeltuch-o. dgl.
Schicht aussen verwendet wird.
Bei den behandelten Ausführungsformen ergibt sich zuweilen die Notwendigkeit, die Faltboothülle besonders stark herzustellen, wobei man zwei oder mehrere Lagen dieser Faltboothüllen durch eine wasserdichte Schicht miteinander verbindet.

The hitherto customary folding boat covers made of sailcloth or the like showed the disadvantage that the sailcloth used for this purpose was more or less water-permeable despite the best impregnation or soon became water-permeable after a short period of use. The invention overcomes this disadvantage as well. It consists in using two layers of canvas or the like, which are waterproof through one layer and when the rigid supple adhesive, e.g. B. rubber, are interconnected. The adhesive causing the watertightness is protected in this way against external influences, in particular abrasion. This not only makes the water tightness of the boat hull a more complete and lasting one, but also significantly extends the life of the boat hull.
The embodiment of the invention described below is intended to reduce the weight of the folding boat hulls without this resulting in a significant change in the technical success of the folding boat hulls.
