Die Wirkungsweise der gezeichneten Vorrichtung ist folgende :
Das zu mahlende Material wird auf die nicht durchbrochene Läuferbahn 12 aufgeworfen, wo es von dem darüber rollenden Läufer 2 zermalmt wird. Der hinter dem Läufer mit diesem um die Welle j ! kreisende Schaber 7 schiebt das zermalmte Material nach innen auf die durchbrochene Bahn. Durch den über derselben rollenden Läufer 3 wird das fein geriebene Material durch die Durchbrechung gedrückt, so dass dasselbe in die Sammelrinne 10 fällt. Was nicht durchgedrückt wird, wird vom Schaber 8 wieder auf die nicht durchbrochene Läuferbahn geschoben, so dass der Läufer 2 wieder über dieses Material rollt und dasselbe noch vollständig zerreibt.
Auf diese Weise wird das Material von den Schabern 7 und 8 hin- und hergeschoben, bis es fein gewalzt durch die Durchbrechungen der Hahn gedrückt werden kann. Das in die Sammelrinne fallende Material wird durch die Abstreifer 9 zur Öffnung 11 befördert. durch welche dasselbe z. B. in unterstellte Wagen oder andere Transportmittel aufgefangen wird. Die durchbrochene Hahn könnte auch je nach der Beschaffenheit des zu verarbeitenden Materials aus Schlitzplatten, wie z. B. in Fig. 3 angegeben, oder aus Roststäben, wie in Fig. 4 angedeutet, bestehen.
