Samenausleser.

Seed separator.
In the known seed separators (Trieur), the drum of which is driven by a shaft arranged axially in it, the drum is carried by this shaft alone, so that it is the weight of the drum including the weight of the seed and the device (collecting trough) for collecting and Removal of the waste must be measured accordingly. Such seed separators require considerable effort to operate and a particularly large shaft.
So-called multiple trieurs are also known, in which several coaxial drums are provided. In these triggers, the innermost drum is completely supported on the drum shaft, while the inlet ends of the remaining drums are supported on the housing of the inlet screw and the discharge ends of these drums are firmly connected to one another or to the innermost drum. This only increases the stress on the drum shaft and thus the effort required.
To remedy this disadvantage is the purpose of the invention, which essentially consists in the fact that in known seed extractors with a drum driven by its axial shaft and a conveyor screw arranged on the drive shaft and rotating in a trough-shaped collecting trough for the waste, the trough over the. The discharge end of the drum is extended and the latter is rotatably mounted on the trough, the extension of the trough being mounted in a stationary bearing and supporting the end of the drive shaft. The latter is therefore only connected to the drum at its one driven end in a manner that loads it, so that the shaft is only loaded with half the weight of the drum and its contents.
As such, it is no longer new at Trieuren to lengthen the trough-shaped trough beyond the discharge end of the drum, so that the discharge of the trough (waste) can be carried out locally far apart from the discharge for the cleaned seeds, which is arranged directly on the front of the drum, so that a mixing of the waste with the cleaned goods is impossible. This success is also achieved with the subject matter of the invention, which, however, as already mentioned, aims above all to reduce the stress on the drive shaft.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the seed separator is shown in FIG. 1 in longitudinal section and in FIG.
The trough-shaped trough 1, which encloses the drive shaft 2 with the screw conveyor 3 serving to remove the waste from the trough, is equipped according to the invention with a bearing piece 4 protruding beyond the discharge end of the drum. This is mounted in the bearing 5 and carries the discharge end of the drum 6 on the one hand and the end of the drive shaft 2 on the other. The other end of the drum at the inlet end is firmly connected to the shaft 2 in the usual manner.
This results in the advantages mentioned at the outset, namely the substantial reduction in the load on the shaft and the local separation of the discharge 7 for the good grains from the discharge 8 for the waste that has been extracted.
