Tonreiniger.

an seinen beiden Enden liegen.

Clay cleaner.
For the preparation of the clay, in particular for its cleaning of stones and other added foreign bodies, clay cleaners are already used, which mainly consist of a sieve casing in which a screw rotates through which the supplied clay is pressed through the openings in the sieve casing, on the other hand the stones and other solid foreign bodies are eliminated on the side opposite the inlet point of the screen cylinder.
With such clay cleaners, the openings in the sieve casing become clogged very easily.
So that no interruptions in the supply of clay to the downstream machines occur during the cleaning period, clay cleaners have already been proposed that have several interchangeable cylinders with a built-in screw shaft.
These clay cleaners are not easy to manufacture as well as in construction and their operation is made particularly difficult by the fact that the clogged cylinder has to be replaced with the cleaned cylinder due to the clogging in the almost full state of the clogged cylinder, so that this cylinder must be Hand emptying before cleaning can be done.
To avoid this inconvenience, according to the invention, the two screen cylinders to be switched on alternately are mounted coaxially to one another, and a common screw shaft with the same screw winding is passed through both of them.

actively emptied and the other is put into operation.
In this case, the cleaning of the out-of-service cylinder of pressed-in foreign bodies takes place completely automatically and, if this is not the case, these are loosened to the extent that they can be easily removed by hand. Due to the coaxial mounting of the screen cylinder, the design of the entire clay cleaner is also considerably simplified.
In the drawing, which shows the new clay cleaner in longitudinal section, it is assumed, for example, that the loading point a is located in the middle of the clay cleaner

lie at both ends.
The worm shaft h is given a back gear for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Assuming that the press screw g is driven in such a way that the

the stone separation work in front of you and at the same time there is an emptying of the
Screen cylinder d '. As a result, the screen cylinder can be opened without the risk of pressed clay falling out.
The cleaning of the sieve cylinder emptied in this way does not cause the slightest difficulty. If the performance of the screen cylinder d decreases due to the clogging of its screen openings, the direction of rotation of the screw g must be changed so that the screen cylinder d empties into the screen cylinder d and this takes over the work.
Of course, it is also possible to design the clay cleaner in such a way that the stone boxes b, b 'are in the middle of the screen cylinder and the clay is fed in at both ends. In this case, however, when the direction of rotation is changed, one cylinder will not be able to empty into the other, but the clay will be returned to the pouring point.
