EMI1.1

EMI1.1
In order to avoid a loss of time when emptying and reloading a malt drum and to be able to remove the last malt residues from the previous loading from the inside of the drum before the next loading takes place, a device is made according to the present invention. that the drive of the screw conveyor used for clearing the drum is automatically released at the moment when the drum starts moving again, so that the last remnants of the malt that is still inside the drum can be repeatedly weighed back and forth Can bring into the area of the screw conveyor and this immediately starts moving again as soon as its storage point has reached the lowest point.
Known devices of a similar type are designed in such a way that the coupling of the worm shaft with its drive is associated with a certain inconvenience. If you wanted to move the malt drum by about a fourth of a rotation after the screw shaft has been disconnected and

then you would have to couple it again with its drive in order to set the screw conveyor in motion again. Since this procedure is associated with loss of time and is also cumbersome, the thorough extraction of the last malt residues is usually not done and a malt of consistently the same quality cannot be achieved in this way.

Bevel gear rr, which on this shaft is shoved out of the way of the drum approximately to G '(FIG. 2) or in engagement with the gear E by means of an adjusting screw. H can be determined. In the former case, as shown at E '(Fig. 2), the screw is carried along with the rotation of the drum and in the latter case, namely when the drum is at a standstill,
