Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Mixing drum with spirally wound outer surfaces.

The present invention relates to concrete mixing drums having a spiral shape. sore outer surfaces and has an arrangement of the scraper as the object, as a result of which the knife sweeps the outer surface during the mixing process and automatically cleans when the drum is turned back for the purpose of emptying the outlet channel, thereby preventing the filling openings from being blocked.

In the drawing, a mixing drum equipped with the drum cleaner is shown in cross section.
 EMI1.1
is formed and has, in a known manner, an inner jacket surface with two spiral surfaces B and B which run into one another and between which the outlet channels are located.

The drum axis D carries arms H and buzz at both ends, which are freely rotatable about the same and at their free ends with a rigid link by means of intermediate links G, GI
Tow arms F, FI are articulated; the latter carry the scraper knife E, which is provided with two cutting edges in order to be able to act in both directions of rotation of the mixing drum. Laterally on the arms H. B1 weights I are seen before by means of short lever.

As a result of the above-described arrangement of the scraper blade E, this is able to slide on the inner surfaces of the spiral surfaces during mixing in order to then penetrate into one of the two outlet channels when the drum is emptied.

During the batch, the drum rotates counterclockwise; the
Scraper E remains in its lowest position and falls from one spiral wall to the other; However, it should come from this deepest part through firmly adhering ground parts
Position, it will soon return there under the effect of the weight I.

If, on the other hand, the drum rotates clockwise for the purpose of emptying, the knife first penetrates into the respective outlet channel as a result of the intermediate pieces G'Gl, which are freely rotatable at both ends, and scrapes off the spiral surface as far as the outlet end of the channel; If you continue to turn, the knife is taken along by the edge of the adjacent spiral surface until it becomes overweight, from the outlet channel! slides out and falls onto the inner surface of the other spiral surface, whereupon the game begins again.
