Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Herstellen von Kinotiteln.
Bei den unter dem Namen Durchzugstiteldruckapparate bekannten Vorrichtungen zur photographischen Herstellung von Aufschriften auf Filmbändern ist bisher so vorgegangen worden, dass das Objekt eine feststehende Aufschriftentafel oder das Negativ der Aufschriften auf einer feststehenden Tafel bildete, während das Filmband ruckweise jeweils um eine Bildhöhe verschoben wurde. Während der Vorwärtsbewegung des Filmbandes musste der Film durch einen Verschluss abgedeckt werden. Die ruckweise Bewegung erfordert ein besonderes Fortschaltwerk, das überdies mit dem Verschluss in Verbindung stehen muss, da die beiden Bewegungen gleichzeitig erfolgen müssen, überdies treten während der Dauer der Bewegung Lichtverluste durch das Abdecken ein.
Nach der Erfindung soll die etwa auf einer rotierenden Trommel untergebrachte Aufschrift in demselben Masse stetig vor-dem Objekt umlaufen, wie'das Filmband an einem Belichtungsschlitz sich vorbeibewegt.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführung der Vorrichtung schematisch zur Darstellung gebracht. Hierbei bezeichnet : a das Filmband, b die Führungsbahn mit dem Belichtungsschlitz c, d das Objektiv, e die Trommel, um deren Mantelfläche die Aufschriftf gelegt und mittels einer Leiste g festgehalten wird, wobei diese Leiste gleichzeitig die Enden des Aufschriftenbandes zusammenhält und auf dem Filmband als Streifen erscheint, der die benachbarten Aufschriftsbilder abgrenzt. h ist ein Druckschild mit einem Schlitz i, der von der Aufschrift nur so viel zur Belichtung und Projektion freigibt, als durch den Plojektions- schlitz c hindurchgehen kann ; k sind Glühlampen und m Reflektoren, welche gleichzeitig Lichtschutzeinrichtungen nach rückwärts bilden.
Der Umfang der Trommel f bzw. des um dieselbe gelegten Aufschriftenbandes muss unter Berücksichtigung einer etwa durch das Objektiv hervorgerufenen Grössenänderung der Bilder gleich sein der Bildhöhe, ebenso muss die Geschwindigkeit des Filmbandes a der
Geschwindigkeit des Trommelumfanges entsprechen, damit bei ununterbrochenem Lauf des Filmbandes stets die ganze Aufschrift, d. h. der ganze Inhalt des Trommelumfanges, bei einer Umdrehung der Trommel auf die entsprechende Bildfläche des Filmes gelangt.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i. Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Herstellen von Durchzugstiteln für Kinofilme, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die auf einem endlosen Bande untergebrachte Aufschrift einerseits und das zu belichtende Bildband andrerseits gegenüber einem Objektiv mit stetiger Geschwindigkeit unter Abgrenzung eines schlitzförmigen Belichtungsfeldes bewegt werden, so dass die Aufschrift auf dem Filmbande wiederholt abgebildet wird.

In the devices known under the name Durchzugiteldruckapparate for the photographic production of inscriptions on film tapes, the procedure has so far been that the object formed a stationary label board or the negative of the labels on a stationary board, while the film tape was shifted jerkily by one image height. During the advancement of the film tape, the film had to be covered by a shutter. The jerky movement requires a special indexing mechanism, which moreover has to be connected to the shutter, since the two movements have to take place simultaneously, and moreover, light losses occur during the duration of the movement due to the covering.
According to the invention, the inscription placed on a rotating drum, for example, should continuously circulate in front of the object to the same extent as the film strip moves past an exposure slit.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the device is shown schematically.
