  Elektrische Gaslampe.

  Electric gas lamp.

It is known to use alkali metals or their alloys as electrode material for electric gas lamps, specifically in liquid form, such as in particular an alloy of potassium and sodium. These electrodes are then contained in suitable vessels of the lamp and there is a risk that the liquid electrodes will flow out of their vessels by tilting or tilting the lamp.

According to the present invention, the electrodes are prevented from flowing out of their vessels in that these vessels are closed by covers provided with capillary openings or, generally speaking, that the electrode vessels are closed on all sides and have capillary openings on the side facing the fluorescent tube if the electrode material is also prevented from flowing out, the passage of current is enabled.

The construction of these vessels can of course take place in various ways and the capillary openings can be obtained either through fine bores in a vessel cover or a vessel wall or through appropriately fine wire nets.
